please, thurman aint about that life. Nigguh will pull a boo boo andrade and get put in protective custody.
I've been on the "Bud takes over 147" train for awhile, no need to backpedal now. Just wait till you see him fight without having to kill himself to make weight.
Hasn't foug this his best win is postal and we don't now how good postal is because his hasn't fought since the hype is unreal
He didn't knock Brook out, he made him submit in fear for his health. It was a no mas situation. Brook was beaten into submission.
Crawford 130 will take over 147, just like Trinidad cleaned 168, Eric Morales domination at 140 & Roy Jones did Cruiser Mayweather was an exceptionally gifted boxer, backed by a think tank that planned his moves & emptied divisions of Natural big Welters prior to his arrival. Anybody who tries to copy the Mayweather in an impulsive fashion, will regret doing so. Floyd was a convincingly invincible boxer, so it was worth it for the Boxing GODs to back him up or at least look the other way. Crawford doesn't look invincible, he has to stay in 140 if he likes his "0", at 147 he starts catching Ls
I agree that Brook was beating Spence. I don't credit Brook breaking down to Spence's body shots. I truly believe the psychological affects of having undergone surgery on his other eye prior to this fight, combined with the doctor telling him he could have potentially gone blind, created a horrible mental block. It's no coincidence he started slowing down and holding his eyes in the middle of the fight at the same time Spence appeared to be gaining control. When he fought GGG, he continued fighting, despite his condition. Here, he knew when to quit, despite being in front of all his people, and it was obvious he did not want to fight anymore from the get-go. That's a huge difference, and I guarantee he would have fought until after the 12th round if he wasn't stupid enough to take that Golovkin fight before this. In his home turf, he'd probably been given the decision too. The guy shortened his career by being reckless and mismanaged, unfortunately. But moving on to Crawford. Let's see the contestants: 1. Amir Khan - Khan would put up several decent early rounds, but Crawford will ultimately knock him out, unless Khan goes down in the 1st, which is not unbelievable. 2. Senator Pacquiao - A shell of his former self, and is known to have trouble against fighters with Crawford's particular style. Crawford will knock him out at this stage of his career or win a very wide decision. 3. Jeff Horn - Easy UD by Crawford 4. Jessie Vargas - Easy UD by Crawford 5. Danny Garcia - Easy UD by Crawford 6. Keith Thurman - A chess match of a fight. I think Crawford can outbox Thurman and win a close UD decision. 7. Kell Brook - Unless Brook is shot now, this is a very difficult fight for Crawford, given Brook's size. Brook is the biggest welterweight. I favor Crawford in regards to overall boxing ability, however. Crawford by MD or SD. 8. Shawn Porter - The ultimate wild card. It's very difficult to prepare for Porter's style. Brook managed using his sheer size to clinch. Thurman fought on the inside and barely won by landing cleaner shots. Crawford is smaller than both guys, but this may end up being similar to Mayweather vs Maidana I. A very ugly fight that I feel Crawford would win by close decision, but Porter would be bum rushing him throughout and making him look bad. 9. Errol Spence - The dream match up. I feel Crawford has the boxing abilities to beat Spence. However, Spence is also very gifted, AND comes with size and power. You can't help but lean slightly towards Spence, but I would not count Crawford out at all. Either Spence by TKO, or Crawford by MD/SD. So to answer the question, yes, I truly believe Crawford can take over the welterweight division. However, if he were to fight numbers 6-9, he's no longer going to be Mr. Dominant. These particular match-ups will take Crawford's 110% to win. I feel Spence will be the dominating force of this division for a long time before Crawford challenges him for the spot.
We almost agree that Crawford will always do better vs Smaller opponents, unlike Pernel Whitaker or FloyD Mayweather their defensive skills neutralized the size advantage. With Crawford the range is a primary element of their gameplan. Your 9 opponents with a clear correlation between natural weight (lowest weigh in) & end game. The Senator being the easiest & Brook/Spence the possible KO loss Senator Pacquiao (106) - Crawford will knock him out Amir Khan (134) - Crawford will ultimately knock him Jessie Vargas (139) - Decision Danny Garcia (139) - Decision Shawn Porter (144) Porter would be bum rushing him throughout and making him look bad. Jeff Horn (145) - Decision Keith Thurman (145) - Chess match (Thurman has the higher ELO) Kell Brook (145) Possible KO Loss Errol Spence Jr (146) Possible KO Loss
An unconditional fan of Bob Arum, but Bob already has Vasyl Lomachenko. Crawford is bonus & if Bob can find a way to make Spence scale down 10% Crawford relative craftiness can allow him to Beat Spence (Bully with natural speed). Nothing special about Crawford or Spence (skills), except their dedication to make weight. Crawford gave up that advantage, so Spence beats Crawford at 147 based on size alone. You have to be an Elite level elusive defensive boxer to beat a bigger bully like Spence, think Pernell Whitaker or Floyd Mayweather. Crawford boxing performances were mostly due to frame advantage, not hard to outbox a smaller framed boxer
