Will the new Cubans dominate the carribbean scene in future years or will Puerto Ricos contenders out shine these Olympians? This is a knock off of the Pinoys vs Mexico threads, seems they have a new rivarly...

Mike Perez was injured and had an OP, nobody knows nothing about him since ages.

Luis Garcia has been merciless sidelined, since he refused to fight Campillo.

Acosta was letargic in his last outing, the nobody he was fighting against was connecting at will, until he got stopped.

the situation is bad enough ...

Judging by how many gold medals they bring I would easily say they are definitely better, they just weren't allowed to make it far as pros do to political issues with their leader. Now that's kind of gone and these guys have a chance to make a lot out of it, sadly you see that heavyweight Solis getting fatter for every fight.

If they can get out of Cuba then maybe, but keep in mind Olympic boxing and pro boxing are different things. There's plenty of boxers who didn't have that great of an amateur career, but are beasting in the pros.

Cuba can only send in handfulls at a time thats the problem. I can see 3 champs in Gamboa, Lara, and Rigo.

imho Gamboa needs to forget about Juanma and get a fight with Chris John, thats a fight I'd pay good money to see

cause we all know America ****ed up Puerto Rico and is trying desperately to **** up the island of Cuba too :yep they destoryed Puerto Rico !! Sadly, Olmypians arent **** in the pros, barly most of them make it anywhere in boxing, but Guillermo Rigondeauxamazed Teddy Atlas !! He said he might be one of the greatest counter punchers in history !! Puerto Rico got nothing right now compared to that !! And Solis could very well destory Oquendo and Ruiz :lol:Erislandy Lara
Peter Quillin cuba has and Puerto Rico has Omar Henry and Carlos Negron. Thiose are fights I wanna see.

His hands aren't too fast, he's got some power.

Josh needs to work on the lateral movement and watch for the hooks.
