Funny how when I made a thread years ago about Dirrell and Ward at 168 were future kings of the division, Some people came on and claimed Jacobs was the better prospect at 160. I never saw anything special in Jacobs. Just a good textbook, ordinary fighter with above average speed.

Not with that Glass Jaw he won't. I guess he could be like Khan and only fight guys that have KO rates below 25%?

Jacobs looked clueless in the 1st round. Pirog looked VERY impressive.

he does have talent but I think he may be overrated. Real blue chippers rarely get starched like that. Khan got blitzed but he is a way better fighter than Presscott. But Pirog, despite punch stats, controlled everything in that fight and was the much stronger man.

It wasn't a lucky punch, it was inevitable. Jacobs had no answers or clues on how to deal with Pirog. I waned on Jacobs after his struggle with Michael Walker. And I remember against Ishe, I felt during that bout that if Ishe had more pop, Jacobs would have been KO'd. Jacobs future prospects don't look great. More sizzle than substance, I'm afraid.

He has talent but I dont think he was destined to be a P4P great regardless of this loss. I see him being a 37-6-1 guy when its all said and done maybe winning 1 or 2 title fights in a few years but never winning all the belts at 160 or 168 lbs.

He'll go the Abagnale Khan route - feasting on light hitters, shot guys and guys in the division below. In a few years there will be people back here considering him to be a p4p beast for beating on these kind of people.

:patsch:patschGlass Jaws exist in boxing. This has been proven time and time again. Hell, there's even a movie on the subject.

Yeah because there is no such thing as a Glass Jaw right?

Jacobs has a paper mache Chin he was an over hyped fighter who got his fragile Glass Mandible shattered all over the place.

Just give it a few years. Jacobs will have beaten a few C level guys, feather-fisted puffs, and semi-retired smaller guys, and people will be back on here claiming he's the GOAT.

It's already happened with Abagnale Khan. GBP will follow the Abagnale Khan blueprint.
