Will Daniel Jacobs Bounce Back?

Last night showed where Jacobs is as a boxer he will never be an elite fighter not even close.

HE reminded me a little bit of Jermain Taylor. just not as tough. won't be suprised to see him hire Steward. or even Atlas

 

:deal He's used to relying too much on his speed and reflexes, but doesn't have some fundamentals down like not backing up in a straight line. He keeps his hands low, doesn't have much lateral movement, he paws instead of snapping the jab out, and doesn't use angles much for his style like he's supposed to. Jacobs looked sensational as subpar comp, but even tho their were some competitive rounds, Pirog was controlling the fight. Jacobs needs to learn to adapt to different styles, but he makes some fights harder than they have to be.

 

of course, he just lost a fight no big deal he is really young and has talent, i hope he learns from this experience and becomes a better fighter in the division, there is no shame in losing if you come back stronger.

 

I've been pretty consistent in saying I felt like Jacobs was missing some things. Micheal Walker showed us Jacobs might have trouble with pressure. Walker lost damn near every round to David Lopez, and worked as a Pavlik sparring partner for the Zertuche fight. That's Walker's level.

We all know Ishe Smith is a bugger to fight, but we also know Smith has very little punching power, but he managed to buzz Jacobs. If Ishe Smith hurts you, you've got a chin problem.

Last night Jacobs fought a very dumb fight. In spite of landing the the over hand right with relative ease he kept switching to southpaw. In addition, the way he kept backing up to the ropes made me think he might be Jermain Taylor's ******ed cousin! The kid's ring IQ is questionable at best.

At this point my best guess is, "No, Jacobs won't be back." I think he is another one of those guys who was a fine amatuer, but won't amount to much as a pro.
