    Daniel Jacobs v Sergio Mora

    Danny Garcia v Paulie Malignaggi

I think they both win by stoppage along with Luke Campbell in the UK domestic fight. Looking to do a triple bet on them via stoppage.

    What do you guys think?

I think both win but neither win by stoppage.

Garcia should win by stoppage. Malignaggi was absolutely destroyed by Porter. I doubt he's better now than he was then.

Sergio Mora, on the other hand, should defeat Danny Jacobs.

I wasn't impressed with Jacobs before Pirog stopped him, and I haven't since he returned from his operation. He might be the worst middleweight champion I can recall in my lifetime.

Mora should win. He's not perfect, but he's beaten better fighters. In fact, he's never really been beaten up. Both Vera fights were toss-ups. He beat Vernon Forrest. Proksa. He drew with Mosley.

Despite the fact that Jacobs has a paper title, if you were just looking at their fights, Mora would be a clear favorite.

    1. While I agree he is unproven and so far not really worthy of being a "champion," is he really worse than Sam Soliman even?

    2. Mora was bigger than almost all of those guys. Or caught them old. Or they aren't remotely special to begin with.

    3. Mora is not a clear favorite to anyone in this fight. Pick him? Fine. But call him a clear favorite? Just not the case. When I envision the style clash I see Jacobs being able to counter and land his power shots in addition to leading for the majority of the fight and his athleticism/speed nullifying some of the "spoiler" moves of Mora.

Yes. Jacobs beat no one for the title. He beat no one in his first defense.

Sergio Mora is the best fighter he's ever faced. Not beaten ... ever faced. That's nuts.

I can remember when Vito Antuofermo was considered kind of a weak champ. At this point, it's just comical.

Mora is just an average guy. But if he has anything left, Mora should win.

Jacobs isn't stopping him. If anyone is getting stopped, Danny will. Mora has little pop, but he when he plants his feet he gets enough leverage behind his shots to give people pause.

And none of us have any idea how well Jacobs can take a punch. He's been matched so soft. Pirog wasn't even that big of a puncher, and he took out Jacobs with a single punch.

While Paulie has been decent in the past he is quite past his best and I expect Garcia to stop him in the 2half of the fight. You guys are right on Mora being good, so I could go for a decision win on Jacobs or fight to go the distance.

So you'll be impressed by Jacobs if he can stop Mora?

Yes, I will be impressed if he stops Sergio "freaking" Mora. Which is sad.

Because I can't think of another Middleweight Champion in my life who I would be "impressed by" if they knocked out Sergio Mora.

If Monzon, Corro, Antuofermo, Minter, Hagler, Kalambay, Nunn, Hearns, Barkley, Toney, Roy Jones, Hopkins ... and on and on and on ... faced Mora, I'd take them all to beat Mora and I'd be "insulting" them for even taking the fight.

With Jacobs ... Mora is the best fighter he's ever met.

So, yes, if Jacobs stops Mora, I'll be impressed. Because Jacobs is terrible. And Mora is average.

    And average usually beats terrible.

So if Jacobs convincingly beats Mora, that will make him a lot better than average?

Picked them both to win by KO and Campbell by UD in Kirk's contest.

Not among middleweight champs. If you can find another middleweight champ whose best win came against someone like Sergio Mora ... good luck.

But I don't think Jacobs will even beat Mora.
