Not saying Postol has no chance, but I don't think Garcia is going to fight this fight. He can't make 40, he has said on multiple occasions that he's going to 47.

Let's say the fight does happen

I can see Garcia neutralizing Postol's quick hand speed with accurate timed left hooks on the inside.

It's definitely no wipeout, it will be a very very good contest. I just think Garcia should and will be the favourite going on, for good reason too.

Well that's just your opinion lol, we all have our own.

If you count out Garcia, you get burned. He's shown us what he can do when stakes are high and the situation calls for it.

    Beating Amir, 6-1 underdog

    Beating Matthysse 3.5-1 underdog

    Never count DSG out, ever.

He can make the weight i seen plenty of vid of him saying he can make 140 he never ruled out staying at 140.

Postol takes a shot well i think he lasts the 12 rounds my only worry for Garcia is Postol quick hands and his jab which could be a problem for Garcia.

It just doesn't add up, in his earlier interviews, he said he's going to 147

Last fight, he couldn't even make 140, that's why he had to make the fight at 142 catchweight.

    Just makes no sense.

Garcia did well so far but beating Amir and Matthysse is not a big deal when you talk about the other welterweights like Floyd and Manny,Marquez they are on different level.

Bradly for example would school Garcia.

Exactly makes no sense but one thing is for sure i heard him say he would like to defend his titles at 140.

A man who took on Khan on short notice and fought Matthysse is going to vacate his #1 spot to escape Postol?, ******.

They used to be on a far different level, but Marquez/Pacquiao are aged, Marquez has shown vulnerabilities in his last 2 fights.

I believe Garcia can take advantage of this.

Garcia has strengths that many like to undermine, bombs from both hands, awkward punches, underrated timing, and of course a cast iron chin that nobody can shatter.

I think a Marquez fight would be mouth watering.

I, for one believe Garcia can take it. Probably not a very popular choice around these parts but I'm a believer. :happy

If he should, all the power to him.

But I want to see him at 47 soon. Maybe do a Postol fight then go to 47.

But it seems like he's outgrowing 40, there's no point of him staying after he beats Postol or Peterson.

He has nothing more to prove at that weight class.

Pacquiao will dominate garcia still at this stage of his career with his speed and angles. Bradley would even beat Garcia Bradley is a top draw fighter with loads of skills and pac even at his stage in his career made him look like nothing so i wouldn't say Garcia beats Pac at all same goes for Marquez and then you have Mayweather which is not even a contest really.

Garcia's been having his cake and eat it, too- make catchweight fights above 140 while maintaining his 140 titles. That works on voluntaries, but the Postol purse bid is the end of that.

His 140 days are over. There's a minimal to zero chance he takes the Postol fight. It's time for Garcia to "officially" move up.
