Will David Lemieux be the first fighter to knockdown Gennady Golovkin?

It'd be nice to see Golovkin's face melt a little bit in this fight.

I think David's rigidness and jerky movements will allow him to land some clean shots on Golovkin, it's going to be interesting to see how Golovkin handles it, and handles Lemieux.

I guess it's not too bad actually. I just miss the Hell out of Santa Barbara. Leaving a Central Coast beach town for anywhere is something of a letdown. I guess I sure could have done worse than Portland.

There are some good articles out there that describe what is referred to as "the Seattle Freeze." Worth checking out. Talks about the overwhelming awkward social dynamics of the people up here. How it takes newcomers to town years and years to ever be or feel included or invited among cliques or groups of friends and acquaintances. How everyone up here is super nice on the surface; waves at you when you're crossing the street, smiles while in line for coffee, and yet these same people are beyond unapproachable...

For such a politically correct area the people out here are more judgmental than anywhere else. Sure there is far less open prejudice, practically none relative to other places, but the judgmental nature comes elsewhere. They hate people who "aren't open minded" and "don't accept their ways" yet at the same time if you aren't like them, they hate you or at the very least go out of their way to ignore you for it. That makes so much sense. They're just onions about it. Get past the first layer and you see how spiteful and lame they are...

Maybe I'm an obvious misfit. Maybe I'd feel this way anywhere else too. But while I'm on my longboard or bicycle or out on a walk I don't deserve to get insults thrown at me from people safely inside their moving vehicle consistently. I don't think I deserve to get hit by someone with a baseball bat Dazed and Confused-style hanging out their car just because I'm on a bicycle. You want to mug me? Be my guest. Don't speed up behind me in a car and whack me with a baseball bat (only to hit the forearm and speed off, that was the best part) or do some wannabe hood shakedown stuff then run away when I'm down to s****. Maybe it's just the long hair that always frightens them. If that were the case then I'd be cool with it but I doubt it. It's like so many people try so hard to be tough up here when there is nothing tough about Washington state. Nothing...

Don't even get me started on the whole club/EDM scene. See and insert above statement of the non-prejudice judgmental behavior. I mean, hey, I'll get down and party. I've never had a problem double hitting the ganj while everyone else in the room is filling their nostrils or huffing off aluminum foil. But a bunch of freakin' weirdos that bunch is. They are literally tweakers and the great part about it is that they don't even know it! Literally tweakers. Everybody else all strung out on or gets their joy from molly, meth, and especially dependence on prescription pills (half the country addicted to over the counter pills and they don't even view themselves as drug addicts; but I guess that aspect is everywhere) dude, it's bad news...

I love WA physically since we got the beach, we got the mountains, we got rainforest, we got desert, we got Canada to the N, we got Cali to the S, and I love the WA social politics since we got weed on demand, anybody can marry whoever they want without unwarranted b!tch fest ensuing, we got liquor in grocery stores, we have great public parks, and Seattle does have a good lot of stuff to do in the city. But c'mon. I should have some positive traits to say about the humans out here, yeah? The people out here suck. I'm a nice motherfvcker who puts myself in enough situations to befriend people and I do laugh at myself for being a bit of a hipster but geez, not one hundredth as hipster as I need to be to be accepted or fit in here. Then when it seems like maybe I'm onto something with these folks, insert a couple of the above sentences. And everyone out here has this passive aggressive personality down perfect. So passive aggressive I can't stand it. If you don't know it then it'd take too long with too many personal and second hand examples to explain...

I know I'm not alone. Articles from authors describing the same thing nearly point for point and direct conversation with friends and randoms alike from out of town who feel the exact same way. WA is a lonely place. Most of the people I know admit to an aspect or whole of their life being lonely. And those who don't admit to that are probably more lonely than they think. Anybody from this part of the country who gets mad by these points is probably guilty of them or just being flat out judgmental, thus proving my point further. I have never vibed with this place. Hope you have better luck than I, friend...

But we've got Cunningham vs. Tarver, Huck going for the cruiserweight record 15th title defense, my boy Giovani Segura returning to the ring, and then Freitas and Jones continuing their retirement fund (keep gettin' dem checks boys) all coming up this weekend so let us turn the discussion to modern gladiators.

GGGs chin is certified iron, and his footwork is unmatched for an offensive fighter.

Vs Stevens he was slipping and countering off the front foot, until he dropped Stevens, all of a rd and a half.

VS Rosado, he did the same over 8 rds, but Rosado was able to find spots when GGG would duplicate a combination and he could time him coming out.

Rosado was probably the recent fighter who had the most success against GGG offensively.

Yeah, GGG did the Mayorga with the Worm, but IM talking successful gameplan and adjusting. Monroe simply knew the inevitable was coming and fought "mexican" style.

That said, Lemiuex has a sneaky L hook counter. And if can time GGG on the offensive, he might be able to catch him with it when he repeats a combo, similar to how Danny timed Khan.

Is GGG gonna be hurt, maybe??? We aint seen him down to know what type of recovery skills he has. But we MAY see him down.:think

He won't, BUT that's not a knock on Lemieux, rather a reflection of Golovkin's chin. His conditioning is impeccable, he's not slowing down and he literally walks through punches thrown by your typical top 10 MW.

Early in the fight, Lemieux will land ONE big lefthook or overhand right, Golovkin will shake it off and the crowd will roar.

By the end of that round, Lemieux goes down. Whether he gets back up and gives us another couple of exciting minutes, don't know.

What a f4cking idiot this Steve_Fox !!! Wlad is "leftover" from Puritty, Sanders and Brewster, but that doesn't prevent him from being in top 3 p4p.

If Lemieux lands one big left hook or overhand right flush on Gennady, then it'd be as if Golovkin landed a clean left hook or overhand right on himself. That's the type of power Lemieux has. It's literally a taste of Golovkin's own medicine. No one else can handle GGG's power. Could he handle his type of power? That's the fascinating question.

With that said, if Lemieux does land a big shot like that... then I'd bet GGG's knees are buckling or he is going to go down. If Golovkin shakes it off as you say, then he is a super human.

    What's so funny?

Lemieux may have more natural raw power than Golovkin. That's no hype. Are you not interested to see how Golovkin would react to that type of power landing on his chin?
