Will David Lemieux be the first fighter to knockdown Gennady Golovkin?

It wouldn't shock me in the least actually, GGG is levels above him skillwise, but powerwise they're fairly similar and if what a lot of you so naively believe about GGG that he's very easy to hit, well why would it shock you if a monster puncher like David lands clean on him and takes him out.:conf I also happen to be a long time Lemieux fan, so it wouldn't bother me that much, I'd prefer GGG to lose to someone I like than someone I don't.

And this isn't the same Lemieux that fought Rubio, he's a far more well rounded fighter and if you can't see that, then you are going out of your way to blind yourself to it, and if consider you why he lost the match to Rubio it makes it less embarrassing, he pulled a Wlad, he beat him from pillar to post for 6 rounds until he wore himself out.

I think that technically Golovkin is too good for Lemieux and that he's going to box defensively until he times David and lands a big one. I do not think for a moment GGG is dumb enough to go and slug it out with Lemieux because he'd be throwing his skill and ring IQ under a bus and playing straight into the hands of a MW with a monster punch.

If it did come to a slugfest I think I still favour Golovkin; the shots he's taken have not fazed him whereas I'm not sure that Lemieux has a comparable chin.

A Lemieux upset would be the funniest thing since Judah's stanky leg

So are you picking Lemuix to win then? Or just admitting he is a very dangerous opponent?

Iron chin???? No such thing. It's made of flesh, blood, & bone. They are all made to crack.

Its pretty obvious at this point Stevens doesn't have near the power that David does.

A backpeddling Stevens on the backfoot, and the few left hooks I saw didn't connect 100% clean. :think

Go watch the 5th round of Curtis/Stevens. Half way through the round, Stevens lands a flush left hook that looks as if may have stunned or at least surprised Golovkin. He took it extraordinarily well considering Stevens power, but still... if Lemieux lands that shot...

We'll see soon enough.. Lemule is going to have to give GGG a different look, GGG right now picked Lamule thinking he's going to be right in front of him.

That's where Lamule has to change it up, Lateral movement will be the Key to his success in the fight and if you catch GGG chasing, eventually he's going to run into something Huge!! That's where we see how his chin is.. He was rocked by stevens, so we know he can gets hurt. wARRR LAMULE!!
