Agree. Tua is still a monster puncher. No need for Haye to flirt with disaster, unless he absolutely has to.
Don't believe Haye would risk a fight with the Klits by fighting Tua. Tua best shot at a big fight is climbing the WBO rankings and getting a mandatory spot at some point.
I am a moderate Tua fan, though I supported Lennox in his stomping of the division, but he isn't relevant in the top ten picture. Tua needs to beat some real opposition that some of us are able to identify before he can even be considered someone worthy of a title shot. Though he might get lucky, he might sneak his way into the top ten and one of the Klitschko Bros might decide to give him a shot for the chance to travel to New Zealand.
Im always hearing about how tua would steamroll so and so. well let him fight the top contenders and earn his shot before he can fight for a belt. tua was real good in his prime however he was probably one of the worst managed fighters in boxing history
Tua is extremely overrated and I never understood why, I know the guy has good power and a chin but what else is there to rate him as a threat to everyone?, didn't he struggle against Rahman in his prime?, didn't Lewis completely dominate him even though he had a few decent moments here and there? Tua is a good fighter but he's no savior or "TYSON" like people promote him to be. I expect the Klitschkos to EASILY destroy him and I expect Haye to beat him too. Ruiz is a far better challenge for Haye than Tua right now.
no he has done nothing! and i even doubt we will see another Tua fight in 2010! Tua is dangerous puncher and high risk fight! Tua would need to be mandatory to get title shot! can't see it happening!
Don't expect anything special there, Wladimir wins every single second of every round to a UD or late TKO. I wouldn't be surprised if Wladimir knocks him out early and I know a lot of people would be laughing at this post, this isn't Tua in his prime and he took punches from almost everyone. Didn't he struggle in his recent come back against an unknown?
He didn't struggle in his most recent fight at all.He finished Cameron in 2. Go back a few fights and you have the Hawkins fight. That was a struggle indeed.I had it a draw.
Tell me, over his 18 year career how many world titles has he had? ZERO. His claim to fame is a KO of Ruiz that happened 14 years ago. He's been on a perpetual "comeback" since his draw with Hasbeen Rahman 7 years ago! He doesn't even have a win over a top or elite heavy (at the time they fought) in his career. I respect his skills and his toughness but with either his lack of management or lack of motivation, he's just not a factor in the division. How he fights nobody Shane Cameron for a couple of meaningless WBO regional belts gets him a WBO #3 world ranking is beyond me. Money talks I guess.
I like Tua. Anybody who watches boxing likes to see a good knockout and Tua is a real knockout artist. But I don't see him really going anywhere. I'd be happy as hell for him if after all these years and beating a handful of former and future champs, he finally got that title attached to his name, but I just don't see it. His last meaningful win was 2002. How much is he really willing to do at this late stage in the game? Fighting Friday and Shane just aren't going to get it done even if he crushes Friday the same way.
Gotta disagree with you on this. What do these titles mean anyway? Tua has brutally knocked out four men who have held one. By the way two of those were lineal champions.
