At the start people were laughing at DAZN, but up to now they've signed lots of top fighters and more will join DAZN slowly. Do ya'll think DAZN, masterminded by Eddie 'Hitman' Hearn, will eventually put Al Haymon and PBC out of business?

Could see it as more of a 2 way fight between DAZN and ESPN long term.

By themselves I don't think they would of been able to do it anytime soon but with ESPN now on a 2nd front splashing out big money it's going to be harder for them to keep going.

PBC/Showtime still have the majority of US talent signed to them but that's beginning to slowly shift. When last year they announce the new 3 year deal with PBC/Fox and Showtime the numbers being thrown around were similar to DAZN's budget but were not seeing that money being used. They had Wilder/Fury and they have Spence/Garcia but these are PPV fights where the income should be supplied by the PPV buys not the networks, where's the estimated $120 plus annual budget going?

I guess they'll see out the current PBC deal but then after that it's impossible to say what will happen, a lot can happen in 3 years.

Numerous sites quoted SHO boxing budget being 50mil annually. Yet the only do one show a month.
Either the money isn't real, or something shady is going on. Because right now SHO is spending as if the 50mil was for 3 years.

Probably not the case at all. They might be taking an L in the short run, but those Matchroom, WBSS and GBP cards should not have been all that expensive.
And as has been pointed out before is that DAZN's global rights deals dwarf what they are spending on boxing. So what we perceive as "loosing big money" is likely just pocket change for them.

If the PBC go out of business it will be be because of the PBC. They got a decent set of fighters and the sport is big enough for both of them and other people. But the PBC are screwing themselves right now because they are sticking with Showtime and unless a fight is forced to go to Pursebids there is just no way they allow any of their fighters to fight on any Network other than Showtime. Look at the latest offer to Wilder from Hearn. Even the craziest Wilder fan is struggling to call that one chicken feed crack money.

Haymon, fighters managers, who ever could and should be making good money from fights that sometimes go on ESPN or DAZN or what ever but these fights are not getting made because they just straight up ignore offers and contracts from anybody else and its either on their terms and it has to be on Showtime or its NO time. They ****ing themselves over, just work with other networks, by all means try to control the fight but if it isnt happening that way, and you cant win them all, just go with it, make some money dont just shut them all out and hope they may come to you in the end.

DAZN are trying to become the Netflix of sports. They can keep spending.

depends on on how fox and fs1 do for accessibility

Most people dont have paid for sports apps but most have cable

plus bars can show PBC but not DAZN or ESPN+
