2016 has come and past; and now it's a brand new year, 2017. So with that said, will the Bronze Bomber finally fight a legit opponent for once this year? What do you say?
I'd say so. My garbage man has a mean left hook, and he'd be open to a fight with Wilder for 1k and some free tickets. If Wilder wants to step it up, he's ready.
He will. Time is right. Division extremely thin. Wlad 41 going on 42. Povetkin shelved indefinitely. Fury totally out of the picture. That's the top 3 guys. Even Wilder's team has to realize the time to act is now and hope he gets lucky against a young inexperienced Joshua or can handle Parker. Wilder is fraud but if he is ever going make a move it has to be now. Before real talent emerges.
Wheres Blackclouds, Staminaskills and the rest of the Wilder fanboys? They seem to pop up on all the Parker/Wilder threads but not on these ones... Anyway, you have got to have at least an ounce of thought in you thats sayin Wilder will fight a somebody this year. Its the year of the step up and theres no way Wilder or any of the three champs can tip toe around the big names.
Hopefully Parker gets Wilder next. Both fighters want the fight but it comes down to a few things. Wilders hand, getting the money right and getting Al Haymon to return Team Parkers calls. http://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-sp...lks-with-Deontay-Wilder-over-unification-bout
Here's my prediction. He won't fight someone who's everyone considers 'legit' BUT he will lose. I could see a Whyte level fighter chinning him.
He will SCHEDULE to fight a legit opponent. Unfortunate circumstances will mean he'll fight Maurice Harris on a month's notice instead.
The Deontay Wilder school of picking opponents, always pick someone from #11-20 who are chinny or slow or can't hit back well.
