The term Bambi on ice, has never been more aptly used, than when it is used in reference to Wilder. The man makes Fury look like a master of foot work and balance, he is literally staggering all over the place and falling over his own feet at times. With a chin made from pure finest bone china, its only a matter of time before his handlers match him with someone who cracks that egg and leaves it shattered in peices on the floor.

I picked Diego Chaves to beat Keith Thurman.. why? because Chavez not only passed "the eye test" but he had actually beaten some good fighters by KO in 22 fights

Thurman had his nose broken early, and ate some shots from the hard hitting Chaves, yet he literally powered through the pain and beat Chaves down


Who do I bring up this fight? Because THAT is the kind of performance that should impress, and elevate a fighter to the next level

How about when Thurman met the super-durable Jan Zaveck? He cracked Zaveck hard then realised after the first few rounds "hey, this guy is not going to fall over when I touch his chin" so boxed his way to an impressive decision

Here is a secret that most punchers don't realise til its too late, even Deontay (hell, especially Deontay), there are guys who just will not go down when you hit them...so NOW what?

 

He isn't even the Best fighter in the USA, Thompson & arreola both batter him IMO so does any top 30 HW with a good chin & a bit of pop.

 

Would love to see that fight, easy easy money betting on Thompson. I can see almost any decent heavy with good defence and a good chin beating Wilder. David Price looked way more polished with the same amount of power before Thompson took him to the cleaners.
