will dirrel look for a way to quit when ward puts the hurt on?

  1. worst fighter to watch in world boxing

will never start making serious bucks if he continues fighting the way he does

should of been disqualified or at least had points deducted the night of the froch fight when he spent about half the night on the canvas

If the fight happens, I don't think Dirrell will look for a way to quit but I don't think he'll look for a way to win. I think Ward will be ahead on points going into the later rounds and Dirrell will coast to a decision loss.

I was one of those people that defended him in the Froch fight. But looking back on it now, the guy was pathetic at times. He resorted to the exact same tactics in the next fight when King Arthur turned the heat up, and I thought, I can now see why the Froch fans were so annoyed.

There's boxing smartly on the move, getting in and out of danger zones (Martinez against Pavlik). But then there's just running like a *****. And Dirrell at times was running like a *****.

The frustrating thing was, he started to open up the last few rounds vs. Froch, and troubled Carl when he started throwing some shots of his own. I'm a Froch fan, but had Dirrell boxed the way he did in the last 2-3 rounds for the whole fight, he'd have taken a comfortable UD.

To be fair to Dirrell, Froch was being pretty dirty & holding is part of the game. . I can't blame him though as you have to do what you have to in order to win. He wasn't even being crafty with his fouls though. I'm a Tyson fan too but I admit Holyfield did it smartly(holding & fouling lol)

The ref should've warned him but both styles did not mesh well.....at all. Also Dirrell needs to understand the ref is not your protector, protect yourself at all times.

I expect this fight to suck TBH. They are very good friends. It'll be like a sparring match.

I don't see this fight as being an easy one for Ward due to styles.

You're right, but against Ward, Dirrell won't have to run. Ward doesn't have Froch or Abraham's power. That's an intriguing match up. If Dirrell is able to make the fight at distance, he will win. On the inside, he will lose for sure. I expect Ward to adopt the same strategy he had against Green. Going on the inside at every occasion, holding, giving short but meaningful punches, holding again. Dirrell has to be able to hold him tight until the referee asks for the break.

That fight, if it ever happens, may be boring. But hey, we could be surprised.

I've read that there could be a fight between Green and Bika, as the semi of Pascal-Hopkins, Dec 18th. That should be Green's compensation from Showtime for not fighting in the third stage. What is happening to Ward-Dirrell? Showtime gave them 3 dates (the three are not very far from now) to settle, if not they would pursue both fighters. Of course, with Froch-Abraham postponed, they may have more time to find a location. Anyone at Showtime able to inform the boxing fans?
