You are exactly right. And Usyk's people would LOVE to get an 8 figure title fight before he gets exposed. That's why he will fight two old guys, Takam and Povetkin, then AJ. It is the best strategy. If he wins, BONUS. If he loses, he's rich.

 

Tillis never held any major title. Holyfield fought him in his heavyweight debut and looked impressive stopping him. I think prime Takam was slightly better than prime Tillis, but current version of Takam is about equal to version of Tillis that Holyfield has faced.

Maybe, they all lose eventually, but they have each held the heavyweight tile for years, and mad multiple defenses.

 

Now that the Usyk fight looks wrapped up, we now have the opportunity to see whether we have another duck on our hands. He may go by the name of Dillian Whyte. If he comes up with an excuse not to fight Povetkin or Ortiz, and then ends up fighting Charr...I'm going to seriously lose faith in this division. All the ducking is getting out of hand.

I hope that Whyte goes and fights Povetkin or Ortiz. Anything less is seen as a duck. I don't want Whyte vs Parker II, I don't want Whyte vs Charr and I don't want Whyte vs the local binman. Get these big fights made Eddie, please..
