So when will berlanga and Caleb plant collide??? I mean it's bound to happen, both guys are very confident in their abilities, both came up short against el Canelo... Very boisterous and loud with respective followings, pretty good marketability and boxing skills to match... Edward with the PRS in pr and new York, Caleb with the sin city following, not to mention both have crossover appeal AND the Caleb plant story is some real life ish, filled with ups and downs of heartbreak and failures, and the thrill of victory as well. He's a real one. I haven't followed berlanga too closely but I know he had a great ko streak and possibly bit a mfer on the ring... My take: Caleb is a big boy, look at the size of his lats, he is no slouch or blown up for his weight class. He may have the better team, his pops and breadman, who can design a nice gameplan while Caleb can make adjustments on the fly, just like vs mccumby. Caleb is very devoted to his life in the gym despite outside obstacles, he may be better at handling distractions as he blocks them out in the gym (he wouldn't be here if he was weak minded) . His sweet boxing skills just like early in his Canelo fight... Man Then Edward, to support my pick of Caleb plant I would say berlanga is the Cruder in terms of boxing skill, not a phoney neither, but likes to drum up his emotions. At times doesn't think with his head. Instead think with his heart. Idk who's punching power is more robust though out of the two... All I know is this would be a pick em fight and I would lean towards Caleb plant because of those reasons. Idk if it would be a stoppage or by points, anything is possible... Your takes??? Ps when will this fight be ever come to fruition?
Berlanga is headlining in Puerto Rico on March 8 and is then open to all the big names in the summer in New York like Plant, Charlo, Munguia etc.
