Will Fabio Wardley get exposed as soon as he steps up?

Yeah, and a fairly decent one for up and coming prospects. He gave Anderson all sorts of trouble towards the end of their fight, and very nearly ended a decent version of Kownacki, and yes, I'm well aware that Kownacki is completely shot now, but when they fought, Martin was only being used to prop up Kownacki's CV and it nearly backfired at the time when Kownacki was a decent prospect.

Wardley hasn't been in with a southpaw before and certainly not someone as decent as Martin (by decent, I mean in gatekeeper terms).

He was bought against Joshua but for sure he doesn’t look tricky. In fact, he’s basic. He’s slow on his feet. He’s fairly old also. Anderson was there for the taking and he couldn’t even put him down. Wardley being fresh, motivated and with no losses would bring an intense package. He’d want it much more than Martin. Martin hasn’t got the skills to outclass Wardley, so it would be fairly evenly matched for a while until the traits I mentioned for Wardley would come good. I don’t rate Wardley but I think an old Martin is hardly Everest or K2.

All fair points. I think Martin would struggle against Wardley.

Would be interesting, because yes, Wardley is a bit vulnerable defensively, but one thing he does do is hit hard in return, especially after taking a shot, so say if they were to fight, it could easily be a case of who goes down first. Couldn't see it lasting the distance that's for sure if it happened.

The Fabio Wardley-Frazier Clarke fight will be a good test for both.

How can Fabio Wardley ever be called a bum? One of the most well spoken boxers out there, British champion with over a 90% knockout ratio who compared to the 2 you mention is still a novice.

Take your alt account and bugger off.

Dunno, as it depends when he really steps up....he has a lot to learn still but if he gives himself the chance then maybe not as easily as some predict.

Yarde for example stepped up too soon and got exposed.......2nd time round (after a bit more experience) he did a lot better.

Why all the hate for Fabio a few years back smh.

What's not to like about him, a huge punching, exciting to watch, attacking, game to let his hands go heavyweight. Every Wardley fight is a must watch from me.

And people were wrong saying he wasn't good enough. He's at least a top 15 heavyweight, gonna be interesting to see how far he goes.
