This is the key for Ding to win, body early and often on the inside followed by uppercuts in the middle rounds and wait for a chance to deliver the big right. This IS going to be a tough fight for both guys and could go either way. Obviously I'm hoping for Wilson by spectacular middle to late round KO!

Yeah I hope Ding works the body and stops head hunting, he would be a true force if the would start doing that, and work on the defense.

Wilson: I'll knock Arslan's head off

Cruiserweight contender Darnell "Ding-A-Ling-Man" Wilson is gearing up for his crack at the world title against WBA champion Firat Arslan on May 3 at Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Hall in Stuttgart, Germany. "This is my dream," said Wilson. "Nobody can stop me from becoming world champion on May 3. I knew all along that I deserved my shot but at times it seemed like it was never going to happen. I knocked off four world rated fighters in a row at one point and I am glad justice has now been done." The Duva Boxing-promoted Wilson (23-6-3, 20 KOs) is currently in Florida putting the finishing touches on training camp. The regimen of workouts included two weeks of intense sparring, plyometrics and four mile runs complimented by sprints. The plyometrics have strengthened Wilson's core and will help him recover faster, deliver more punches and hit harder than ever before. "I am pretty ripped. When I am at that press conference, everybody will see what tremendous shape I am in," adds Wilson. "Nobody will punch with me for 12 rounds. I am going to knock Arslan's head off. I am prepared to go 12 rounds and could even do 15 but I am a knockout artist and if that opportunity presents itself, I will take full advantage!"

it will not be the german stream though.

this would be a very cheap fight for american tv to buy.

i preume espn has a saturday afternoon sports show.

never understood with the advantage america has with time zones why big fights were not shown on channels like espn.

surely it would be worth $50k budget.

Ding has me nervous, I really hopes he starts incorporating a body attack into his strategy.

This is a actually a good style matchup for Ding. Arslan will be there for his power, the question is whether or not he has the stamina and backup plan if Arslan can take his power shots?

I'm not sure he does, and Arslan does have a good chin and very good physical strength. My sense is that Arslan will outwork Ding, with Ding getting in the occasional shot, but not being able to get the knockout.

No, he is not. You don't even know Arslan, you haven't seen even one of his fights, right? That guy has a neck as strong as a bull, and a tight defence, no way her is stopped by one punch. Arslan is far from a good fighter but he won't get "KTFO" and especially not by a guy like Wilson.

No real difference between the two = nobody's gonna get knocked out = points decision = UD for Arslan due to slightly better technical skills, championship bonus, and hometown advantage.

I think I'm going to side with you, unless Ding starts working the body and stops head hunting. I don't care how fit your body is, with power like Ding hitting your body it is going to start to hurt.
