Castillo and Maidana aren't fast handed fighters. They're aggressive style fighters who were naturally bigger than Floyd on fight night who both did their best work against him while they had him pinned on the ropes. They're also 2 good inside fighters. While Pacman is an aggressive fighter, his style of aggression is VASTLY different from those 2 men who were able to give Floyd his toughest fights. Pacman is NOT a good inside fighter, he won't be able to bully up on Mayweather on the inside to attempt to push him backwards, and he definitely doesn't pin his opposition on the ropes for long periods of time and starts throwing flurries at them. COMPLETELY different styles of aggression. It will become quite apparent from the very beginning of their megafight.
I think Pac will be faster than Floyd expects but he'll be able to manage it as well. we shall see. 3 days!
Other than Pacquiao, what fast fighters hasn't Floyd fought? Also, like Enigma said, Pacquiao's not good on the inside, while Floyd is. Pacquiao's also not good at cutting off the ring.
The bolded part is a very underrated post. He couldn't cut the ring off against Bradley or a subpar ALgieri, I don't think he'll have a chance in hell to do that with someone with great lateral movement like FLoyd. And honestly, if he is able to cut off the ring, I think it will probably due to FLoyd setting up a trap for him to nail him with that beautiful left hook of his.
The only thing that may surprise Mayweather is the length of Pac's punches. He gets a couple of more inches of reach when he punches because he put his whole shoulder into it like a pitcher throwing a fastball.
