I actually don't hold it against him for not considering a 147 freak like Paul Wiliams. Standing at 6ft 3, long arms and a high workrate to match, Williams presents a risk which many won't knock Floyd for avoiding.

However, I do believe he was once obliged to give Cotto or Margarito (or both) a chance back in the day. Having refused to do that, choosing instead to crawl in to his temporary retirement home at a time when the Welterweight division was hot in talent, he did very little to substantiate his far fetched (and deluded) claim of being a G.O.A.T.

I feel he now must fight Shane Mosley, be it before or after Pac. Ideally, you would think he could at least wait till January 30th when Mosley is confirmed as the winner, and announce him as his next opponent for date in early summer (when Pac would be busy with his presidential campaign). But unfortunately this is FLoyd we're talking about. There's no chance in hell he would risk fighting his most dangerous foe, before his lucrative (and rather easy) bout with Pacquiao.

Williams looked poor in his very recent last outing and certainly beatable. That said, either Cintron or Williams would be great if Floyd has to fight on March 13 but I would rather he sit it out and challenge the Mosley vs Betro winner. Not going to complain either way though.

When will people understand this. He never left because he couldn't make the weight. He left because the Top WW's wouldn't give him a fight.

Do you remember a guy named Sugar Ray that Floyd told he would have bashed him if he had fought in his era? Sugar ray fought Hagler Duran hearns Wilfred Benitez Ayub Kalule and Donny Lalonde (although he force the LH to fight at 170) And Floyd the avoider was going to bash him. What a piece of works he is.

Cintron isnt as bad as Hattons little brother or Malignaggi, but hes still Cintron.... and until he gains some more decent wins and some momentum, i dont understand the support of him as a mayweather opponent. Id love to see collazo, quintana, angulo, martinez, ect fight cintron and lets see how those fights play out. But Floyd Mayweather Jr?

Bradley, Williams, hell even Martinez, are waiting for this fight, and both all better then cintron in the ring and legacy wise.

i certainly am. im sick of this **** its about time he mans up all this 40 tried 40 failed **** is getting boring. right now he has the chance to fight the most dangerous and avoided welterweight in the world he should take it and do wat we all know he's capable of doing instead of fighting cintron

Damn for people who claim to hate Mayweather and will never pay to see him fight people sure are talking alot about his next opponent.

Just shows how he makes his money. Doesn't need fans, the haters contribute enough to his pockets as it is.
