If so, who are the likely candidates to get a match?

Rematch if the fight is close or even if Floyd losses, and should he stay there will depend I think on how he losses if he losses if he gets starched in the fight first or 2nd I think he moves down to 147 and finishes there.
if he should win the first fight close lose the 2nd fight we may get a third fight.

Likely opponents should be Kirkland, the winners of Molina vs Smith which I think is the ideal fight after his fight with Canelo should he stay there and or the winner of Angulo vs Lara.

in all honesty though I think Angulo and Kirkland are just too damn big

If Mayweather wins decisively, his next fight will be at WW. I think he wants to defend his titles from both weight classes.

I also see this happening.... the 147 is stacked now with natural 147 and 140 coming up in weight..

He will go down to 147 even if he loses IMO. All three fights above have been the highest grossing fight available to him at that specific time which is why they were selected.

Besides Canelo at JrMW there is nothing! There is nothing at WW either. At JrWW you have Matthysse, Garcia and Khan but I don't see them as a threat either. The only possible opponents for Mayweather to make it what some intersting is Pac and Bradley which we known are impossible to fight with because of the GBP/TR feud. And also Martinez at the full JrMW limit but that too is impossible to make because of his contract with HBO. The final "valid" option is Canelo which he is already fighting at a damn CATCHWEIGHT! :patsch

So to answer your question, there will be no need to fight at JrMW anymore as Angulo, Lara or whoever else is at 154lbs will do **** numbers in PPV sales. Floyd might have his "gurantee" pay but Showtime will need to make some back too so I doubt fighters like Lara, Angulo will get a chance.

Even though 154 is stacked,Canelo the only big money fight. So chances are Floyd will finish out that contract at 147.
