Do you read or just keep yanking the pud??

Floyd hasnt cleaned out any division. He was NEVER THE REAL CHAMP at 40 and has cherry picked his way throughout.

Thats the muthafukin reason for threads like this, WONDERING if he'll get respect.

I'm wondering IF HE"LL EVER EARN IT??

PBF has to be respected. IF he beats Hatton by KO he will gain a fan right here. IF he loses to Hatton he may gain a fan also according to how he reacts to defeat. :yep

    Three.

He, for all intents and purposes, unified the 130lb title against Corrales.

Beat Castillo to win the 135lb title.

Beat Baldomir to win the 147lb title.

DLH wasn't the legit champion at 154lbs, and Gatti wasn't the legit champion at 140lb so they don't count as championships.

Still...not a bad resume to have.

They were undefeated TITLELISTS. That makes them worthy in itself.

Now, I'm not saying Floyd wasnt a great fighter at 130 but tell me his hypothetical ranking wouldnt have been bettered of CEMENTED had he beat Casa, Freitas, and unified.

BTW, Henry Armstrong would have murdered floyd at 30, IMO.
    There's a guy who HELD 3 of a total of 8 belts simultaneously:good
Think he would have chosen to not fight Floyd??

You're not understanding what I'm saying. I don't have time to debate the meaning and importance of every belt. Nowhere did I even suggest this. My only point was that, by definition, a fight is a championship fight if a belt is on the line. Whether you feel the belt is legitimate, or whether you feel the belt holder is the real champ is another issue.

Somone else argued that a fight is only a championship fght if it's for the ring title. Well, Floyd has been involved in 15 fights were the ring title is involved. Some people only consider the WBC,WBA, IBF and WBO as legit titles. Well, Floyd has been involved in about 20 fights involving these belts. You're touting the lineal title even though earlier you said the lineal title is garbage. Well, Floyd has been involved in 10 fights that involved the linear title(you apparently don't count his 135 title as linear). There are many ways to define a champion in Boxing. Clearly, people have their own agendas, and will contort the definition of a champion to either further the cause of their fighter or descredit the accomplishments of a fighter they don't like.

Would you honestly expect to lose with dignity? Like ****. He'd stamp his feet and blame everyone and say he'll knock the victor out (Round 1) next time they meet. He's a classless *****.

No my friend, he did NOT f"or all intents and purposes, unified the 130lb title against Corrales."

As for three?? Well times have changed. Assume that Calzaghe or Kessler would chose to fight Bute instead of each other, would that make them the best.

IMO, the BO should be included at this point, the entire scene is such a mess that they deserve merit.

Floyd cant claim the best at 47 and not fight Williams or Williams vs Cintron winner........HELL NO!!

Its more the idea of beating the best than UNIFYING. Yes Unification should be the process INCLUDING THE WBO.

You dont assume Floyds the best, he fights and PROVES IT.

    Spot on.

Mayweater, even if some dislike it, is one of the few Three-division lineal champions in the history of boxing.
