When is the last time Alvarez got desperate? He's very composed in the ring.

Floyd will have to make him respect him though, obviously.

If he doesn't, it will be a long night and he'll take a lot of punishment. Also, I'm pretty sure that Canelo knows about that jab to the body.

    It's not a big secret.

If mayweather could frustrate a mentally strong veteran boxer like marquez. It makes me wonder how will a young man inexperienced fighter like alvarez will be able to deal with the movement and accuracy of mayweather. Once canelo startds getting into the 8th round gasping for air at the same time seeing floyd getting stronger, that's where canelo will see this is a whole new level.

Canelo HAD to accept the catchweight in order to get the fight at all.
Like he's had to accept all the other advantages given to Floyd. With everything considered Canelo is going into this fight having very little chance of success. Floyd is fighting at home, with his neighbors as officials & a commission he seems to dictate too. Canelo will have to knock Floyd out twice to get a draw.
Only one thing Canelo hasd going for him ? Joe Cortez isn't going to be referee like he was for Hatton denying Ricky what little chance he had. I hope Canelo scores a clean knockout victory its the only way he'll win

What power ???? ROFL Floyd had Victor Ortiz at his mercy competely defenceless when Floyd threw that cowardly combination. He STILL couldn't knock him out

Alvarez' management were the one's that proposed the 152 lb catchweight to entice Floyd. About a year ago, they even offered for Canelo to meet him at 150 lbs. You should do your homework before you throw statements out there like they're factual.

Why would FLoyd's management team say "no, we'll fight you at 154 instead?," when Alvarez' team are the one's that PROPOSED the catchweight? If his team wants to put him at a disadvantage, it's their fault. I don't blame Floyd or his team at all for accepting those terms, it works to FLoyd's advantage.

  8. Floyd won by 4th round KO, so how didn't he knock Ortiz out?

If Cotto's older brother stunned and almost dropped Canelo almost 20 pounds south the Pretty one will defo gain some respect.

  11. Exactly, Canelo's chin has not been tested based off of his opposition.

Victor ortiz made the same mistake gatti did when floyd tagged him and got the standing 8 count. Cortez said time in and ortiz was sitting there with his hands down like a dumba** and he deserved every bit of it with the headbutts. You can't make a mistake with mayweather, because he's too intelligent and focused in the ring.

Alot of people thought floyd was crazy fighting hatton on the inside because that was his game and floyd beat him at it.....Oscar was using the jab great until floyd adapted and tokk it from him....Marquez had to become a brawler because he couldn't beat floyd in the counter-punching game.....Mosley caught mayweather with those great shots floyd became aggressive and mosley had no answer.....Guerrero came out the aggressive and midway through the fight it was mayweather who was walking him down until he hurt his hand.

Floyd adapts to every style and he ends up beating you at the things you do best

if Canelo is smart and expects to win he would come in with the mindset that Floyd is a vicious puncher... respect his power going in establish your game plan and take over from there Canelo got this ****...

i agree for a young guy he is incredibly composed .. he reminds me of a very young bantam weight mexican prospect at the time named MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA. incredibly calm and collected... showed no emotion
