@slugger why do you think victor chose to rematch berto? Were all other opponents dead?

 

Cortez did know, he called time in, then went to say a word or two to someone outside the ring to maybe clarify the point deduction, etc. What he didn't expect was Ortiz to start molesting Mayweather before getting exactly what he deserved AFTER intentionally headbutting him.

 

None of those were sucker punches. Gatti and Ortiz can be considered cheap shots, but not sucker punches. There is a difference. What James Butler did to Richard Grant was a sucker punch. As far as the Mosley one...well, Shane was running his mouth and rightfully got popped in it. Not a sucker punch or a cheap shot.

Touching gloves is standard. I have seen and/or been involved with many, many, many fights, ammy and pro, and have only on rare occasions not seen touching of gloves to start the fight. Maidana had every right to try and take Khan's head off, but somehow, it just doesn't seem right.
