Whoever wins, if this fight is in any way close ( a 115-112 type deal ) their rankings wont change from what they are now. So PAC will stay at 1. A schooling by either will make him the fighter of the decade.

Regardless of whether a win over Pacquiao would place Mayweather above Pacman in an ATG sense,of which i am not sure, I don't see how a win over Pacquiao in the NEXT decade, would make him the best in THIS one. Pac's accomplishments from 2000-2009 are just greater than Mayweather's in the same period.

 

You don't seem to get it. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao occurs in 2010 and bears no relevance to their resumes/standings in the period beginning 2000 and ending 2009.

To be fighter of the decade you actually have to fight fighters in your own division. Floyd has been a welterweight for 4 years but has never fought a welterweight. So no ******.

 

He cannot fight no one in the whole decade who was great and then beat Pacman and say he won the decade.

You are aware he beat Judah and Baldomir to become the Linear WW champ. He has only had 3 fights since then and one was at 154. Actually the the Marquez fight wasn't even contracted at 147
