Will Floyd Mayweather become more well appreciated as time goes on?

This isn't really the result of an objective analysis. In many of these cases Floyd was the smaller and/or older man. But when he was smaller the opponent was drained, right? And when he was older it didn't really count anyway. By pure logic he can't look good by those standards.

Corrales, Hatton, Mosley, Pac, Guerrero and (I think) Canelo were all p4p ranked by The Ring when Floyd met them and active in the weight class they fought at. Most of them were bigger and/or younger than Floyd. Those are facts.

So if that's such scandalous nitpicking, who are all the fighters in recent times, except possibly Pac, that met and beat better opposition?

So if your telling me he was behind against Judah, and Deloyhoya
So your telling me he was behind against past prime Judah, and Deloyhoya. What Deloyhaya was 35 at the time of their fight and inactive. Would the results have been the same if Deloyhoya was 25? Walked down 39 yr old Mosley. Is that really that impressive to you? Same Mosley who was exposed yrs earlier as a one trick pony, and beaten much more convincingly by W.Wright, and V.Forrest while IN his prime or much closer to it than by the time he fought Mayweather . Castillo and Chavez were in most fight fans minds, were forgone conclusions fights well before they actually fought. Nothing special really about those two. What SPECIAL fighter he's fought since he passed 35 yrs old? Conner McGregor? 50 and 0 means he's done some things right during his career. And yes he had outstanding skills as far as pure knowledge of boxing go. BUT he is also one of the most overrated fighters in history if you look past that 50-0 mark, and look at the fighters he defeated and most importantly WHEN he defeated them. Not one, didn't have a major question mark or a major flaw, that was exposed by someone else yrs earlier.

The only good win of the fighters you listed was against Corrales. But that was at jr.light and in my opnion Mayweather's best weight. Hatton was a good fighter, but at Jr welter. Not at welter, or Jr middle. Mosley and Pac. Were exposed well before they fought May. Pac was knocked cold by Marquez and Bradley beat him pretty convincingly yrs earlier. Why didn't May fight Pac when he should've before the Marquez and Bradley losses? Mosley beaten soundly by W Wright and V.Forrest in his PRIME. And showed yrs prior to the Mayweather fight he was spectacular as long as the fight was going his way. But adversity? Take him out of his fight? He completely drew a blank. Never adjusted in a fight and won it. Not against decent competition. Guerrero. Was he that good to even mention his name?

I mean I tried to point out that Floyd had only 45 fights in 18 years of healthy boxing and he passed on a lot of opportunity. And I get called a hater for bringing up that fair point .. Can't think of one ATG of the top of my head who had 18 years of opportunity and 45 fights .. Some poster's are saying, "well, I don't like Floyd but I have to admit he is p4p the best ever or a close second to SRR" Statements like that lead me to believe that the agenda with this thread is to try and pisss ya off and see if it works because you're claiming you don't like Floyd so that makes your analysis of him more valid ...

Again, give me examples of fighters that met and beat better fighters? Picking apart a fighter's opposition is the easy part, naming fighters who faced and beat opponents beyond any possible criticism is much, much harder.

So stop avoiding the question and tell me which fighters in the last 20 years, except possibly Pac, who has beaten better opposition?

Whitaker had less fights than Floyd in a career that was almost as long.

I'm trying to match the OP in terms of quality of post. Maybe if I speak to him on his wavelength we could connect.

Except for the OP who said "I'm one of the ones who thinks he is "TBE", "tbe" standing for "the best ever". :nonono
