    Yeah, I think so.

    Some credit, not much.

JMM is the P4P #2 and Floyd has just come out of a long period of inactivty.

The weight isn't that important, IMO.

    Why should he?

He's arguably the best P4P boxer around yet he's picking on a Super Featherweight?

I`ll give him huge credit but I dont think the majority of ESB will do likewise.

The second option should be 'JMM is one of the best fighters around, but no he still won't get any credit.'

he will get a little bit, but not much cause marquez aint proven at those weights.....which is the difference between marquez and pac, sure marquez whooped on pac, but pac has been able to hold his own at 140+....

castillo gave floyd hell and even beat him at 135, but does that mean castillo could've moved up to 154 and face oscar....no...some fighters just carry the weight a lot better than others.....and marquez aint proven yet up there, it's just sad that he's gonna have to go against the sharks right away

I'll give him credit, Marquez is a great fighter, he isn't a tune up.

For me it will depend on how good I think JMM was at the weight. And I'm not thinking he'll be very good.

hmm says... I'll give him cred for hyping a possible Pac-PBF showdown even more (depends how he wins). He'll get cred but not so much.

Marquez is past his best. Floyd won't get a lot of credit for the win here, unless he looks spectacular in the process.

    Best guess is some credit.

Yes beating the LW champ who arguably twice beat Pacquaio and beat the 2 best at 135 is a big deal. Marquez would be a huge fight for Pac at 140 so beating him at 143 is still a big achievement, especially as Mayweather came from 130 himself and the natural size difference isn't that much. Its just Marquez is smaller and notably not as good as Mayweather. Cotto/Mosley/Williams are bigger challenges. Pacquaio may actually be an easier fight than Marquez

Its a similar situation to Monzon-Napoles, Hopkins-Delahoya, Leonard-Hagler and Hopkins-Tarver. Guess what in the last 2 examples the big man lost

Mayweather should get some credit, but I don't think he will receive any. Coming off a two year lay-off to fight the consensus #2 p4p fighter in the world is a tough task. It's not like he's fighting Calderon or Donaire. People are making it sound like he has a 20 pound muscle advantage, I personally don't think that is the case. Marquez brought his strength up to 135 and I have a feeling it will follow him to 147 for the most part.

    Yep.

I hate polls with bad options that don't get the issue properly. Floyd SHOULD get credit based on Marquez being a top fighter combined with Floyd's inactivity, but that he still won't by a lot of people.
