hmmm, just like the first time around when news reports were saying manny agreed...i wont believe it until they step in the ring these two guys are a mess.
Manny did agree and if anything it's obvious already that for the second time they negotiate Manny's team keep the updates coming at all time, even the news in his country constantly bring it up because they all know Manny wants it. Last time it got ruined because of blood tests being mentioned out of the blue, now it looks like money % should surely end it and it's Mayweather making these new last minute demands.
I read the article.... until it said "Bob Arum disclosed" then i stopped reading. Get a grip guys. I dont need to read the rest because its obviuos its just going to say Manny wants to fight, FLoyd doesnt. And this is clearly going against the no discussing negotiations rule they had. If its gets signed it gets signed, if it doesnt it doesnt. But i really hope people are not stupid enough to believe this rubbish.
IMO Mannys team giving updates is a way to place the blame on mayweather because it makes people believe that they appear to want the fight...roach says things all the time about kahn wanting to fight people, the same people who he goes and ducks (see top 140 lbers)...people hold on to the fact that in the media they say, 'we want to fight xyz' when in reality they dont...all this talking, but what about the gag order? its unprofessional and i think its self serving for them, and not a sign of actually wanting the fight...its just my take on it, because if mayweather was calling pac out nobody would believe he wanted it, they would say he was bluffing.
the same people saying this are the same people who posted stuff about him being scared of shane and scared to sign and etc...and looked what happend...neither man is afriad of the other i have no clue why people want to think that...especially two men that have proven their greatness as these two have are not in fear of another fighter.
You have a good point but I don't think it applies in this one. Khan has been doing that type of talk even before Roach was brought in, so Roach is just clearly showing he is relating with him and early. Khan has called out Mayweather for a four rounder after his 2nd professional fight, so laugh all you wish. What team Pacquiao are doing reflects their confidence in my opinion, they wouldn't be constantly talking over and over if they weren't serious. Hatton did the same to Mayweather only to see that fight signed immediately, so these tactics DO work for camps that really want to make it. Both guys are so much under pressure to make this fight by the public so it's logical to act this way, Pacquiao's team seem to care more from how things are going here because Mayweather can do the same, they won't charge him anything for it and he will get a lot of public love for it. Another point I would like to bring up, I think it's safe to say you will agree with me when I say Pacquiao was the one barking about making this fight even before Mayweather officially announced his return. They have been constantly bringing it up till they eventually negotiated the first time and we all know WHY that broke down. This is the second time and THEY are the one showing interest in it more and it looks like yet another out of the blue demand, will break this down too and we know who's demanding it.
Actions speak louder than words don't they scar? So let me ask you these questions: Who walked away from the first negotiations while Mayweather was screaming after them begging for the fight. Who lied about why they walked away saying Mayweather didn't even bother to make the counter offer(A clear lie which the arbitrator had to come out and refute) What amazes me about pac fans are the things they let him get away with. Can you imagine if PBF had walked away from the negotiations while telling a lie. There would be multiple youtube videos of the soundbites, new nicknames for PBF, but when pac does it none of the pacfans say anything.
Wasn't Bob Arum the one talking about not negotiating in the media? Seems like both times the Mayweather group did what they were supposed to and kept their mouths shut while Arum and the Pacquiao mafia leaked **** every other day, some true and some not.
"thats a bingo" and its a sure sign that arum and co. are trying very hard to make it look/appear like the other sides fault sorry bob...but your gamble of walking away from the first fight did not pay off....you saw shane had berto...and there wasnt a single signifigant fight for floyd of worth...and you knew that everybody was in love with pac and would eat up whatever you did with him....so in essence you said were walking away...good luck making a fight floyd....one the fans want to see....watch me go fight in dallas and take "pacmania" to new heights!...then floyd pulled a major power move and told schaeffer "get me shane"....your sold out fight with cotto did an 8.8 live gate....while shane and floyd did 11.1.....and pac fans love to point how floyd cant even sell out the mgm...lol there was a supposed "gag" order on these negotiations....and arum and co. have violated it several times....its pretty evident that these guys are trying really hard to make it look like floyds fault....
i dont disagree that manny himself wants the fight, but the people around him are being very unprofessional...if u place a gag order on talking about the fight to the public and then go and talk to the media, it makes u look bad...i have no doubts that mayweather wants the fight as a competitor, but people take his silence as being afraid or not wanting to fight...all the talking is to create an illusion IMO, and all of the backtracking and lies and conflicting statements show that Arum, roach, koncz, ariza and all those guys are just talking out of their azzes... they both want the fight, but they are both divas...i was reading an article about why arum is choosing cotto and marg as potential opponents and he says because he has to give pac so much money that he can only do big money fights because pac wants more than 10million each fight... to adress the bold point...manny has also said numerous times that he would never fight mayweather because he was too big, so u cant place too much stock into what someone says...if he wants the fight so badly, then y is he being so difficult in negotiations?
I call bull****. I read the arbitrator's report. It said nothing of substance, let alone refuting anything. This is simply a case of people reading into this what they wanted to see. Nothing more. The only thing Mayweather said was he would agree to 14 days AFTER the deadline passed and Pac had moved on. He has since publicly rescinded things he agreed to in past negotiations. Sounds like someone going the other way to me. I should know better than to post in these threads, but obvious misstatements of facts .........
No where in that article did it say that a final contract was sent for Floyd to sign. It was a regurgitation of things we already know. Manny is not bendning anymore and it's up to Mayweather now to agree to the terms but that doesn't mean that a contract was written and sent. There is no contract as there are still pending issues. I wasn't going to read it because of the obviously biased source but decided to give it read. Unless some of the reputable boxing sites that I frequent daily don't have the story than I wont believe it.
