He doesn't have to do it for his fans. Standing and trading with Pacquiao would be suicide.

Threads like this make me wonder how many of you actually know anything about boxing. Why would Floyd fight in a way that plays into his opponent's hands? I'm just glad none of you are boxing trainers.

They post that because it's the best way for PBF to lose would be to completely lose his mind and start trading with Pac and fighting his fight. They know if he boxes Pac then Pac has no chance. They will call it running but real fans know that it's boxing.

I would imagine a Guerrero-like game plan would be better than a Maidana I-like game plan.

He will outbox Pac that much I can assure you. In order to do that he will have to engage. You can't win rounds by not landing any punches.

Fight will play out exactly like Marquez-Pacquiao 3.

Pacquiao was getting nailed with so many clean right hands, he was hesitant to throw with power.

Pacquiao will flail away throwing nothing but arm punches while Mayweather stings him with power snapping jabs and clean hard rights.

There will be a point in the fight where Pacquiao will sieze to come foward, mark it!!!

When has a boxer standing and trading with a swarmer/slugger ever worked out favorably for the boxer? It didn't work for Taylor against Chavez, and it didn't work for Conn against Louis.

Mayweather fans don't watch Floyd to see him trade punches like a couple of Rock'em Sock'em Robots. We watch him to see him box. That's what the sport is: boxing.

If your idea of boxing is "trading punches," I would just suggest you never teach any kids how to box. You're going to get them hurt.

His fans are his fans because of what he's been doing his whole career. He's only "traded" with his opponent in a couple of his last several fights (Mosley, Cotto, Maidana I) so I think it would be fair to say that probably doesn't happen.

If he fights Pac like he did Guerrero instead of how he fought Hatton, not a single one of his fans will care as long as the job gets done.
