part of floyds defense is his footwork,
    his footspeed,
speed of movement in general with the slick one movement of offense right out and away with defensive moving away from his opponent.

(lol, much like paulie was not slick vs khan)

pac negates that with his own speed of foot work and hand speed,
floyd looks not so slick because of this,
    pac faints,times,lands good shots
    works the body a lot,
    jabs the chest to death,
does a mosley, uses set up punches to distract from the big bombs landing right afterwards,
floyd gets confused by not being able to time pac,and not being able to read from which hand pac counters with, hes like a unusual southpaw who can land first with either hand and counter quick with either hand.

Im not sure, Floyd is a defensive wizard but time is not on his side he is getting older, less active and is in a tough legal situation

Floyd looked great vs Mosley, he stood his ground more made Mosley miss a lot and neutralized much of the offense

    he also countered very cleanly

Pacquiao will be a change of pace, Marquez and Mosley do not thrwo a lot of punches and are not not nearly as fast as Manny

Floyd struggles agaisnt southpaw left hands and Mannys is fast and lethal i mean he broke Margos face in 3 rounds the guy may not have one shot KO power but he ****ed up Cotto and Margos faces as well as came right out and shocked JMM in the 1st round of their 1st fight

Manny also has a nice right hook added to the arsenal, also recently he gets hit a lot less and spends less time in no mans land and is in and out quickly

Floyd had two tough outings in the last couple of years the first two De La Hoya

now i had that fight 8-4 or 9-3 but the jabbing Oscar did and just the physical imposing he did made it tough

Manny has no jab and he is not going to be physically imposing

Hatton gave him the other tough fight, Hatton was able to tie up and get inside and get to the ribs it worked for about 5 or 6 rounds and then his chin ultimatley couldnt hold up

Manny is not gonna wanna be inside for very long and wants to come in with the left hand right hook then get right out

Manny will be a very different opponent then Floyd has seen lately, overal I pick floyd but Manny has time on his side

Floyd has great defense against older worn out fighters.
he got rocked by Mosley, Judah, Castillo - no reason Manny won't spank the **** outta him.

It's AMAZING how posters focus on one fighter so much, that they fail to see the BRILLIANCE of another fighter. For anyone who has ever watched FMJ throughout his career, or even just his past few fights dating back to '05....here is what you would have seen. A fighter who is an orthodox fighter with the ability to fight as a southpaw, to fight going forward and backwards, to use the ring, Pot-Shot, to Stand in-the-pocket and and Ability to OUT-BOX an opponent. And it's DOWNRIGHT Hilarious how so many of you think Manny Pacquiao is just going to walk in the ring, take off his robe, put in his mouthpiece and and EASILY defeat the MANY STYLES, FACETS AND VARIETY OF FLOYD MAYWEATHER BY KO....HILARIOUS.

Manny Pacquiao is the Same Fighter that got outboxed and counter-punched repeatedly by JMM...THE EXACT SAME FIGHTER!!! Now this is where the Pacquiao fans will try to convinced me that Manny Pacquiao is an Overall Better Fighter now than he was below 135lbs. OK...This is my Opinion as to why he IS NOT and IMO, the Exact Same Fighter. Question: How can he be a Better Overall Fighter when he has not fought anyone to Make him a Better Overall Fighter? What fighter has made his Defense Better? What Fighter tested his ability or Made him A Better Boxer or a More Accurate Puncher? So how can he be a Better Overall Better Boxer? Fighting a Bunch of EASY-2-HIT STATIONARY TARGETS do not make you a Better Overall Fighter. Now I am in NO way saying the Pacquiao Opponents above 135lbs were Awful Fighters....But Name anyone of those fighters with EXTREME QUICKNESS OR SPEED, WITH EXCELLENT DEFENSE, SUPERB SKILLSET AND GREAT MOVEMENT That Made Pacquiao an OVERALL BETTER FIGHTER...I'll wait.

In Fact, I invite to go-back and take a look at the Cotto vs Pacquiao fight again. This was one of Pacquiao Best Performances Above 135lbs IMO. But I found it very interesting that Cotto (who has the worst stamina in the Sport)...when he took his "Head out of his ass" and use the ring and BOXED...he did quite well and was SNAPPING Pacquiao's head back with a solid jab and won a round or two by doing this. Now....would any of you like to take a guess of what fighter in the sport is a FAR BETTER BOXER THAN COTTO, WITH BETTER STAMINA, AND WHO IS SMART-ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT IF YOUR ARE BIGGER, TALLER, WITH A REACH ADVANTAGE AND A BETTER BOXER THAN PACQUIAO....THERE IS NO NEED TO GET CLOSE OR EVEN TRY TO EXCHANGE WITH "THE PACMAN". Can Pacquiao beat FMJ...ABSOLUTELY. But IMO, it has to be a Sensational Early Round KO within the first 4 Rounds. Of all the fights, videos and gifs that people have posted of FMJ getting TAGGED with a good Shot, When does it happen? The Early Rounds.

From the Very Moment this fight was even thought about....It had WIDE UD By Mayweather Written ALLOVER IT!!!!

So according to your logic (or lack thereof) a poster's credibility is based on their Avatar?

floyd starts slow. he will get popped early, with the same thing mosley caught him with. he's been a sucker for the fake to the body come over the top most of his career. however, mosley was the only fighter strong enough and fast enough to catch him with something meaningful, and that was just once. marquez landed the combo plenty of times, but to no effect. the shoulder roll works best against straight punches. pacquiao will throw punches from multiple angles. mayweather will start with the traditional gaurd until he brings the shoulder roll out in the 9th round, after pacquiao is a bit tired and has absorbed plenty of counters.

    Footwork
    Jab
    Lead Right

Those 3 things will be what Floyd uses to absolutely dominate Pac.
