Will FMJ vs Alvarez (154) be one of the biggest size disadvantage fights in boxing?

Obviously aside from the heavyweight division.

I think SNV had at least almost 100lbs on most of his opponents.

This is a good question. I've been trying to think of fighters who've dealt with bigger size advantages.

Pacquiao vs Margarito was 17 pounds

I'm pretty sure some of those oldschool fighters like Greb or Langford were at bigger disadvantages.

    No way

25 pounds max, and that's if canelo comes in at 173 which he never has. First time with trout he was at 171 or was it 173 but he's never came in that heavy.

He always came in at 164-167 I dont know why for trout he came in that big.. it was unofficial so the scale could have been wrong. They also had nathysse 20 something pounds over and on Twitter team Matisse had to correct sho

It would have to be under the current schedule of day before weigh ins. Outside of an obvious weight cheat like Chavez Jr., I doubt it.

Canelo was a lot bigger than Hatton. I doubt it was 22 pounds, though.

In all likelihood, the two would be about 12-16 pounds different on fight night.

    good one

"The venue for the Robinson – Maxim fight was Yankee Stadium in New York City. The fight was originally scheduled for June 23, 1952 but was delayed to June 25 due to torrential thunderstorms. As it turned out it was the hottest June 25th in New York City since 1899 with temperatures under the ring lights exceeding 103 degrees. Maxim weighed in at 173 pounds for the fight while Robinson came in at 157 ½ pounds. There were no catch weights in that era of boxing and there were no junior or super divisions."

This was a same day weighin and they were 15.5 pounds apart at the weigh in. I wonder how much more weight Joey gained before the fight :think

Didn't Gatti out weigh several of his opponents by a considerable amount?

What does Floyd come into the ring weighing? He doesn't give him fight night weight . Last time I think was for Marquez right? He looked pretty big for Guerrero.

The thing is even with a weight disadvantage, Floyd is still taller with a longer reach then Canelo.

Pac was outweighed by Margo by almost 20 lbs , who also had a sizeable reach and height advantage.
