No one wants Carl to fight Quigg again, due to Quiggs poor effort when they met. Wuigg now has to go away and rebuild his career and his credibility.

Frampton dont need the fight. Bigger paydays and more exciting fights available.

You are absolutely correct, but Carl and the circus keep banging on about legacy, records, history.

They can't have it both ways, either hes in it to make money, or he wants to cement his name in the history books.

Doesn't help your cause when you label people frauds, paper champions, or the weakest belt holder at the weight, then bang on about how good it makes you after beating them.

Rigo was and still is the MAN at SBW, and although he looks uninterested, and negative against lesser opposition, he's proved himself against the best.

Personally i believe Carls ego and pride would make him fight Rigo if the opportunity arose, but those around him know the risks which is why they've steered him away.

Agree with this statement. I wouldn't mind but Carl can be fairly negative at times. It's not a floor in someone's game to be able to box. I'm really pleased for him having won but mcguigan is a nasty disrespectful bitter old man and the drivel that comes out of his mouth is unbearable. What's sad is all the Irish casuals believe every word of it

I hear what you're saying but he is the first two weight world champion to hark from NI. That is a legacy, domestically at least and comes after several solidly world class wins.

I'd also say his biggest detractors can't have it both ways. One minute he was ducking Quigg and LSC, then the next he didn't have much of a chance of beating them and now they were never any good to begin with. Those who dislike him keep moving the goal posts and would do again if he fought Rigo. They'd write him off and then if he won label Rigo old and shot whilst claiming Carl was ducking someone else. Prob GRJ.

How is he ducking Rigo. He fights at 126. Rigo is 122 and turned down the Loma fight at 126 because of the weight.

I agree Rigo is the best 122lb fighter. But he just fought Jazza ****ens. Hee stinks the joint out and doesn't have a fan base.

    Difficult fight to make.

I was at the Cruz fight, it was a great night with Frampton fighting away from home and going up in weight I don't call that being a fraud. I think you talk sh*t.

It lasted two rounds, you can't stink the joint out in two rounds.

Also, what did Jazza do in the fight? Rigo's opponents are just as much the reason for boring fights because they don't want to engage either

The point I'm making is why can he fight Frampton at 126lb but turn down Lomachenko. I'm aware of how boxing works but if you go by the moniker of being the most avoided fighter why turn down Loma?

Oh I agree with that point, absolutely. I spoke to another member of the forum on here about it actually and he said when Loma was offering the fight at 126, Rigo has the options of Quigg, Frampton and LSC at 122 which is fair. Especially seeing as now 122 is a bit dead

If you can't sell a fight vs one of the greatest amateurs ever and a P4P top three fighter then you're a joke of a promoter.

People talk about his style... Every Floyd fight going was awful, yet he kept people coming back for me. It is easily done.

Frampton could sell out places in Belfast just by fighting you or me, never mind Rigo. Given how good the LSC fight was there would be plenty of TV interest too
