Just watched The Jackal in action against a faded Molitor and he looked a million dollars in there. With the division being so strong with Mares, Rigondeaux and Donaire. When do you think he'll be ready to challenge these fighters.

Would he stand a chance against any of the trio?

It's early days. He has the offensive capability. His defense looks good so far. But we need to see him with a couple of more fringe world level fights first of all.

Would need another few fights imo, he is in a tough division those 3 guys are on many peoples top 10-15 p4p (Donaire top 5). Frampton looked very good tonight couldn't have done much better in stepping up a level tonight but he would be stepping up to elite class against any of these guys. Maybe in a few fights time.

No not when the top guys are as good as Donaire, Rigondeaux and Mares.

Maybe one day but no need to rush it.

Kiko Martinez is the fight that makes sense IMO, there is absolutely no need to rush this kid but based on what Eddie has in stall there going down the mandatory route (fancy that hey :))

The IBF champion is currently Donaire is it not ?? ouch !!, on a more realistic note Donaire will be going up or will vacate the IBF before fighting the lower regarded Frampton in Ireland

Ill say this for Frampton, he has the ability, there's no doubting this kid can be a world champion

I think the interesting thing would be if Hearn could somehow get one of the big boys over to Belfast. As you said, those three are a step above at the minute.

Other problem is Kiko doesn't seem to want that fight Pretty sure Frampton would be Martinez.

Not yet, not against the guys holding titles atm. In most other divisions I'd say he could challenge soon but the depth at 122 is unbelievable. Give him Martinez and a couple of solid fringe contenders and go from there.

In my opinion he is probably Ireland/UK's best prospect. I think he should finish up the British/European scene (Munroe, Quigg, Galahad, Martinez) before he goes onto a world title. Great Talent. I said before the fight he would steamroll through Molitor. Excited to see where he goes from here.

I think kiko has been got promotion issues last months. he dump his promoter, did the bum-fight on ireland with a new promoter. then quit the frampton's fight (injured?) dumped promoter again and finally signed with the other martinez.

I think that frampton will be the EBU mandatory and the fight will be done. IMO is a fight that both need to do.

If he had done that to the Molitor of old, then maybe. However, Molitor is done. He never bounced back from that first KO loss... So yeah, that win didn't mean a whole lot.

There are plenty of domestic opponents who would make interesting match-ups but Frampton might bypass all of them & go straight for Kiko Martinez.

Another year at least before Frampton will be at world level imo
