I can't see why one is totally accepted. And thought of as "progressive".
You talk about "informed decision" - informed by what ? By a lot of fashionable quack pseudo-science and dodgy counsellors and therapists ? By quack parents who find their child to be more feminine/masculine than they expect ?
There's so much room for error and abuse.

You can have a look at the history of medicine and you will find NUMEROUS practices that were thought of as the modern/progressive thing at the time, but people realized they were barbaric and wrong. It could well be that people will realize that "s*ex reassignment" is not a good thing.

There are some people who have a mental disorder where they feel an need to amputate an arm or a leg. There a surgeons who are "curing" them by chopping a perfectly good limb off.
Does everyone have a view on that ?
No, they probably never heard of it.

Okay, maybe I'm a "Neanderthal" to even raise the suspicion that a lot of these s*ex changes are UNETHICAL .... or maybe I just don't follow everything society is feeding me, and consider that the world isn't perfect and some things are actually wrong.

 

Well, they usually single out Africa when they go on about in on the news.

I don't know the general standard.
I'm neither strongly FOR nor AGAINST any of these things, I just recognize them all as extremely problematic, in an ethical sense.

The big difference with the "se*x change" thing and FGM is that 'progressive' elements in society are ACTIVELY CELEBRATING IT ....

You consistently expose yourself as being a Neanderthal in boxing intelligence and now do so with ethical issues such as this. Defending these mutants takes away what little credibility you have left.
