Will Froch be giving any weight away on fight night against Kessler?

You fight where you are most comfortable, and feel strongest...thats obviously 172 for Froch

 

Kessler is big for the weight, I'd reckon he'll come in high 170's

For Froch to only add 4lbs, you'd think that would benefit his speed but one of Froch's biggest weaknessess is his lack of speed so I don't think that'll benefit him in that respect

 

IBF have a 10lb limit, so if he comes in at 172 then 6lbs max

 

Where does the 6lbs come from?

The IBF have a 10lbs limit right enough, for the weigh-in on the morning of the fight, but they don't have a third weigh-in.

I reckon Froch will come in at a light weight. Maybe 174lbs?

Kessler's usually comes in at around 182lbs. Maybe he will come in light at 180lbs.

I expect Kessler to be some 6-8 lbs heavier.

 

True, the IBF have a 10lb limit on the morning of the fight (no idea what time) but no limit on the night, Purdy weighed 156.6lb on Saturday morning
