Nah, mate. He has some very good points about hand speed. I used his formula to determine who had the fastest hands in boxing and found it was quite helpful.

All you do is take the square root of the average number of punches a boxer throws per round and divide it by the cosine of his average number of jabs per round. You plug that number into a simple linear regression model and track it against the average duration of a fighter's bouts (using seconds as your unit of measurement of course). Then you simply solve the model in excel and the number you get will be based around a standard covariance of 1.0 and you simply take the fighter who ends up the most standard deviations away from that covariance.

I was surprised to find that this model told me Odlanier Solis has the fastest hands in boxing but it must be true. I find the old model of simply watching boxing matches and observing whether a fighter has fast hands or not is quite outdated at this point.

Don't forget that maidana is faster than Pacquiao because threw more punches per round vs mayweather.

Mate, I know. The model told me that. It says he's 3 times faster if you were interested.

I think if its fair judging that G should win a very close, competitive decision.

I think Froch breaks the streak though.

I don't think moving up 8lbs to fight a guy who basically fights at the same weight as 160lb fighters do on fight-night is going to reduce golovkin' s power to the point where he doesn't even hit has hard as, say, George Groves. And groves hurt and dropped Froch

Only way Froch stops GGG is by cuts. GGG's skin seems to be his only weakness.
