If Froch wins then it will be the manner of his victory that will be key to getting any credit. Funny thing is, if he sparks him within 3 rounds, he will get less credit than if they have a barnstorming toe to toe 12 rounder.
Word. A little bit of the luster has come off Kessler but he's still a pretty good, although, its becoming increasingly obvious, limited fighter. He's got power in both hands, good one two, and he's tough. I'll give Froch all the credit if he beats him; it'll be, by far, his best win.
If he does,I predict he'll win the tournament.Uh-oh,I predicted Kessler before the 1st group of fights, then, after the second,I predicted Abraham.I think I'll stop predicting after this.
I wont give Froch much credit for beating Kessler ...I don´t doubt that Froch will win on KO. Im danish and Kessler is not the same boxer anymore. Kessler has become much slower and he doesn´t punch much either anymore. Mentally he is weakened also...he lost alot of confidence and im sure he has big doubts about his own abilities on this level after he got exposed by Ward. Against Ward he almost stopped fighting back and looked like he most of all wanted a way out of the fight. To put things in perspective I do think that Ward is a better boxer than Calzaghe and Froch will not outbox Kessler like Ward did. Froch is a boxer I appreciate to watch he is a warrior and I think his strong mentality will break down Kessler. Skillwise these 2 boxers are pretty equal but Froch´s power and ability to keep coming no matter what hits him will be too much for Kessler.
Froch, Kessler or Abraham will never get credit. If one of them win the super six "Ward and Dirrell wasent that good anyway, and the winner would lose big time to prime Hopkins or Jones"
Actually by the US guys getting a couple of wins I think the winner of this tourney will do just fine respect wise. I hope Kessler is just having a little ring rust from inactivity and low level competition. The Kessler that fought JC beats Froch without much problem. That was a few years ago though. Any word about how things are going in camp and with his new trainer yet?
Depends on how he wins, I suppose. If Froch swings at nothing but air for 12 rounds but somehow manages to gain the favor of the judges then the answer would be an emphatic no, at least from me.
If he KOs Kessler under 6 rounds that would be his best win IMO. He just needs to keep bossing Kessler and keep walking him down. Kessler has next to no ability in fighting on the back foot and countering.
