Will Froch try to box from the outside like he did against AA?

Froch's defence is good against those with slow hand speed.

 

In a proud moment… I picked Vic. Many forgot he was a good amateur with excellent skills and that he had gotten away from that style. They also hadn’t realised how special a talent Donaire was at the time.

But Mijareas… meh. Never got the almighty fuss.

 

I think he'll box on the outside to begin with. Depending on how much success he is having will decide if he stays there.
Those low hands are as always a worry with Froch. I have been impressed in his last two outings though. At least he is not as predictable now.

 

I'm not sure if he should try and box him, Ward's the superior boxer here...... I think he needs to 'fight', it's a classic boxer vs fighter type of fight. Only way Froch wins is via stoppage.

 

Really, low left hand without great reflexes. Froch isnt hard to hit at all.

He's gonna be outlanded by a large margin, Ward will prove too quick & I dont think he'll crumble under the pressure of a big occasion.

Eubank made a good assessment of Froch the other day, he said he's dangerous because he doesnt realise how limited he is.

 

Doesn't make much sense though does it, otherwise more opponents would have capitalised on those limitations by now. I'd say he's more dangerous because other fighters don't see the subtleties and think Froch is limited until they face him in the ring. Especially now that he isn't trying to blow all his opponents away. Froch has a decent arsenal in his locker when he chooses to use it.

 

Froch probably gets hit less than fighters with his ''apparent'' level of defence usually do, to me that's the most logical explanation.

He's not all of a sudden turned into Pernell Whitaker because he made Abraham miss most of the night.

 

I think that's will be the plan from the start, doesn't ward normally take to or 3 rounds to get going? Then froch will have to change strategy I bet they hope ward comes forward for 4,5,6 and this is where it's **** or bust for froch an he'll have to try an catch ward, once the fight reaches the 8th froch will be tired an get drastic but ward is super fit and walks the end with a few smiles between them. Add a bit of home cooking to wards effort as he has had the whole tournament all his way very unfair infact, I see the judges giving froch 4 rounds at best.
