Nonsense. They're maybe not prime anymore but even Fury has plenty of tread left on those tyres.

This is pretty much what I'd have written, if I was better at writing stuff about boxing. Though I do think Fury is worried about Usyk. A couple of things he's said recently make me think he's coming to terms with his own fallibility - being humiliated by Ngannou obviously would have had something to do with that. Originally I thought Fury was simply too big for Usyk, but I just don't see him being a big enough problem for him. Usyk does everything better but clinch. If Fury had the luxury of sitting on his punches against the Ukrainian, then I think it'd be a hard one to call. But he'll be lucky to land big against him, and even if he does he isn't Earnie Shavers. I really think Usyk has enough to win in the eyes of honest fans, even if not the judges.

So, you’re saying that Fury, when the going get tough (if not earlier even), will resort to cheating.

It takes more balls to remain clean during a fight even when it gets rugged and you’re losing.

Who wants to see the bigger guy wrestle, maul and foul his way to victory? - the actual idea IS to box.

So desperate, Fury had to pathetically resort to using elbows against the debutant - the same opponent that AJ creamed while, god forbid, he only had to fighting cleanly.

Does Fury even have the balls to climb into the ring to face AJ, the latter having fought Usyk TWICE while Fury sidestepped that match for so long and has still yet to get his fat *** into the ring with?

To be a fan of Fury you truly have to suspend reality and irrationally flip over irrefutable logic - just as much as the Big Dosser himself does via his attention seeking, daily mantras.

Belief in Tyson is the boxing equivalent to still supporting a well disproven flat Earth.:lol:

both fighters are accomplished and proven themselves as champions in the ring.
i'd have to lean towards Usyk winning a decision. i don't see him standing in front of a big, hard hitting guy like Fury. Usyk has shown that he is capable of constant movement through a twelve round fight.

pop - jab - move then reset and do it again.

Fury can fight Usyk this way also

Tony bellew did it successfully....little bit of low hands slick forces Usyk to close a range he isn't used to. Plodding bum AJ is easy to hit in comparison. Thing is Fury hasn't shown his flicking jab or slickness for years given his elbows are shot to pieces and the leaked sparring showed him having gym wars.

    Skybet
Fight outright, Fury 5/6, Usyk 1/1 (evens)
5/1 a Usyk win by stoppage

I'll have a little dabble for a Usyk stoppage.

I don't think you have to make a massive wager just because you feel confident of a win either way. I'm confident Usyk will win, I'm not sure hiw but I'll have a small bet on a stoppage to make it a bit of fun, no more than a tenner and if I win it will cover the takeaway.

You're right in the unique aspect, Usyk hasn't faced anybody as unique as Fury in the size sense both height and weight and Fury hasn't faced anybody with the skill set of Usyk. I do think Usyk overall has faced the more skillfully opponents overall though so is Fury bringing anything Usyk can't handle? I don't think so.

Classic case of when you shouldn't bet lol. I've learned to only put money in places where I believe there is an edge. I'm sitting this one out, too many unknowns.

    Fury is likely to win
And then there will be just as many excuses for Usyk than there were for Wilder.
When Fury wins people whine about cheating, when somebody does anything positive against him they claim they won.
When Fury Knocks somebody clean out, the cheating claims start.
    It's pathetic.

Usyk was able to defeat a powerful, big, muscular athletic man like Joshua. He was able to take everything Joshua was throwing at him. This fight won't be a problem for Usyk.

Joshua is about as similar to Fury as Nganou is similar to Usyk. Not at all in both cases.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained by these comparisons.

It's always been very close to a 50-50.

When the fight was first made, I gave Fury a tiny edge.

But from how both men have performed since, both in and out of the ring, I now have Usyk by a slightly bigger edge.

I've just watched Usyk vs AJ 2 and Usyk vs Dubois, back to back.

It seemed to me that Usyk lost most of his movement compared to 2nd AJ fight, or am I wrong?

He fought differently against Dubois. He boxed on the front foot, trying to put a pressure on him.
