Will Fury retire after Whyte

  1. Yup. He's thought it out and is dead serious.

The thing is with Fury he chops and changes his mind at the drop of an hat. Add in he likes to bulls**t with the best of them, maybe more so.

I think when he says things, at the time he believes it himself only to change his mind the next time you see a clip of him.

He blows hot, cold, Luke warm, all depending on his moods at the time.

    He's truly unpredictable for sure.

It would ve a huge let down for sure if he retires befire facing the usyk vs AJ winner.
I would considee it ducking, no matter what he says.
Atleast fight that winner and then walk of onto the sunset rather than running away before you can cross the finishline.

Its like he rather would be a mythical h2h fighter with a 0 than actually prove to be the greatest of this era.

I blame Floyd for this bull****.

Fury was content after he beat Wilder in 2020.

AJ would have been nice but Usyk is going to retire him.

& does Fury need to sell his soul and fight in Saudi to fight Usyk?

I think his elbows are shot pieces also...though he hasn't stated it through this build up because you cannot show weakness.

Yeah, he'll pack it in, but he'll emerge for the right fight. And if AJ beats Usyk (lol) that will be quick smart.

True, probably cause he knows how great Usyk is and how much trouble Cunningham gave him.

He isnt willing to put it on the line vs Usyk.
He's not too keen on Whyte either.
Fancies AJ or Chisora again. Or some mma bum.

Everytime he is asked about Usyk he lashes out in a way thats not suitable for a fighting man he claims to be.
At this point it feels he wants to retire in case Usyk beats AJ again.
If AJ beats Usyk he will probably come out of retirement for a final fight vs him.

I’d like to see a Ngannou fight in Boxing but with MMA gloves. Otherwise I wouldn’t be interested.

I feel Fury will use the Whyte bout to judge if he wants to go on, whether he still has the armoury, skills, mental/physical tools and indeed motivation to continue.

I of course have no definitive proof to back that viewpoint up, but the only 2 big names he has faced from November 2015 onwards namely Wlad who really did not show up for the bout and Deontay who Fury found he had the beating of (albeit not on scorecards) whilst still rebuilding self after his 'issues', so knew he would beat in Wilder 2 and 3, may not have given Fury assessment of his boxing future and present abilities.

I am sure Fury would like to retire as the undisputed champion, however I feel his unbeaten record is more important to him, so if Whyte was to offer anything more than a decent challenge for Fury, I think retiring as the champion albeit not undisputed would be ok in his eyes,

All the above is of course conjecture as only Fury actually knows, but that is my opinion, and if Fury tells me "Oi dosser your opinion is wrong" I shall rise up to my full height, tell him very forcibly and with a most stern expression on my face........."sorry Mr Fury"

I believe his childs poor health before the Wilder fight and then getting dropped and hurt multiple times by Wilder has made Fury serious about retirement. He is getting to an age now where one more war could be one too many.

I think he'll drop the belt and go on sabbatical, then return from the couch once the Usyk/Joshua situation is resolved. But he isn't going to fight mandatories anymore, or Hrgovic or the others. I believe he's finished with that.

I think he might take 12 months out and then yeah face the the winner of AJ/usyk, almost 100% sure he will fight AJ.

But would not be surprised to see him give the belt up.

He'll continue his career most likely.
Still, I wouldn't be surprised if the Kinahan case would make him reconsider. It might be tempting for him to disappear (from the media), especially if Kinahan gets caught and the media will feast on all the information about Kinahan's and Fury's relationship.

Agreed, he won't take any other fights aside from one of those two.

Yeah but, if money is his motivation then fighting anyone pays more than retiring.

I think he re-emerges to fight the winner of Usyk/AJ

There is a threshold that would make it worth the risk to his health and safety.
