Fury's got nothing to lose now. I'd say that makes him far more dangerous in the rematch.

He said post fight he would do the rematch. Couldn't see Usyk breaking his word he's too honourable and it would leave question marks on his victory to some. If AJ got a rematch so too will Fury.

Impossible to say with Fury he's so unpredictable.

But I do think he's more focused when he has something to prove, whenever he's reached the top he's mentally imploded and gone off the rails, it happened when he beat Wlad and it happened again after he beat Wilder and he went from the outsider to be embraced by the masses. Some athletes have this weird mentality where when they finally reach a goal they've worked so long for, they feel depressed because they've worked towards one thing for so long and when they achieve it, they no longer have a purpose to drive them forwards anymore.

So I wouldn't be surprised if Fury took his training to another level and maintained discipline but then again I wouldn't be surprised if he blew up to 400lbs again, the man is predictably, unpredictable.

Did you not watch the post fight presser, which took place about 30 minutes after the post fight interviews? He already changed his mind and said he has to think about what he will do next. So his senses are slowly coming back to him. He was found wanting against the Cossack warrior king known as Usyk.

He was referring to a previous poster that said Usyk may just retire. Not saying Usyk said that, just the posters thoughts. See below...
Fury on the other hand may just retire himself. Did the best I believe he could do, plus he now has an extra hundred million.

If Usyk beats Fury in the rematch he will dethrone Charles and become the King of England.

You may be right with Joshua, but the zero is gone and he has nothing to lose

I think he will roll the dice once more imo and probably lose, then retire

I want the rematch. I enjoyed that fight

If he truly intends to take the rematch, then i think he will maintain a modicum of weight discipline.

However losing of the zero on his record could over the coming months throw him off kilter.

I'd be happy if Usyk retired now too
Yes miss his quality, but I don't want to see him flattened as he ages

It's extremely rare to see someone retire with a zero while fighting on away soil often

I could be totally wrong here. But I honestly think there's a good chance Fury doesn't take the re-match.

It's all good saying these things in the heat of the moment that you want the re-match. But with Fury I suspect that this loss will have a negative effect on him as time passes. He could just slump into depression and doubt.

I can still remember the Klitschko two ' The Gloves are off' episode and noticed how down Fury was at times in it. And this was after beating Klitschko....I suspect that Fury at that time just may have considered that he may have caught Klitschko on a bad night in the first fight, or even that Klitschko would have learned enough about 1st Fury fight to tackle him more aggressively in the next fight. I think Fury didn't really want that re-match ( wild boar meat or not)

I think then, there's a chance of a similar trend happening with Usyk if my suspicions are correct.

    I hope I'm wrong.

Fury will just do what he did with the Wlad rematch, keep delaying, feign some sort of injury or maybe quit boxing altogether and become a priest for his lord saviour Jesus Christ. Father fury

I've said all along I didn't think Fury would take the rematch - win or lose.

    Yes.

    Plus...

I think Fury did the math on risk-reward and decided it didn't add up - he'd won, he'd keep more credibility than taking the rematch and probably losing.

I can see him doing the same here - he can claim he won, he's got credibility intact... But Usyk has him figured now.
He could easily wind up losing more by fighting again and getting beaten more convincingly - I don't think he can do better, honestly.

I don't think he'll fight AJ for similar reasons either - too much to lose and not enough to gain.
