took me until I was in my forties to trust someone enough to disclose my demons to. up until that point, there was no negative to drugs and alcohol - it was always a way to escape myself - and I just shovelled my dark past 'under the rug'. but as you age, the 'corridor narrows', and suddenly your demons start to spill out into the world around you. you can't drink and take drugs to escape your past (and yourself) anymore, because your mind has 'become heavy' and essentially tells you that you need to open up and find answers and understanding or else you're embarking on a one way trip to hell. 'knowledge is power' is absolutely everything when it comes to dealing with your demons. it gives you a clarity and insight into your situation that you can't even begin to understand if you haven't opened up about things.
The MAC will return in shape and clean out this division. Heavyweights are at the whim and mercy of 2fast Furious One.
It's sounds like you've made positive changes by addressing the core issues at work. Hopefully Tyson is reading this and can learn from people such as yourself.
From what I last heard in December he was down to 24 stone or 336lbs so he still has some way to go, about 90lbs more to lose. Those first few stone are always the easiest to lose too.
He needs to be in Wlad fight shape definitely for Joshua and Wilder. Hes no banger, hes all about movement. He'll be the one gassing after four otherwise I think..
Maybe, but Joshua is slow and gasses quick. I'm not convinced Fury needs to be in shape for him because I'm not convinced Fury would tire from that pace. Parker already damn near lost to a fatman. One of the very first things I came here to talk about was Joshua's stamina, posture, positioning, and powerline, and how they're all linked. I think it's the second thread I ever made on this forum: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/will-anthony-joshuas-posture-get-him-knocked-out.596869/ Anyway, my point is Fury has excellent posturing and doesn't fall out of position easily which does allow him to conserve energy and be more efficient with his energy than Joshua. Wilder, yeah I agree he'd need to be in shape for Wilder because Wilder has no problem being behind on points and pushing athleticism. Classic sword and shield Spartan ****.
Fair point. I just remember seeing him in the lead up to the last BJS fight and he looked better than he had. But yeah you're right. 90 lbs is no joke
If I had to break it down to a percentage, I would guess there is a 15% chance of him getting down to his Klitschko fighting weight.
Tyson Fury celebrated becoming heavyweight world champion with a Nando's binge of nearly 15,000 calories. Fury ate 16 double chicken wraps, five corn on the cob and six portions of chips during his feast. If this is to be believed, man can that guy can ever eat!
absolutely. I've educated myself on health and nutrition, which is very important to me. i'm now incredibly disciplined regarding exercise and health, but I can also step back from it when I want to (not for long though). I can honestly say I've never been so well-balanced, healthy and happy as I begin my fiftieth year. I remain in counselling, even though the weighty issues are behind me. sometimes we just talk about the world around us. my childhood will always be a 'beast in the background', it never leaves you and you never truly move on from it 100%, but knowing the triggers and understanding myself more puts the power squarely in my hands regarding what path I tread.
It sounds as though in some ways you can relate to Tyson Fury. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to have those demons along with 20 million in the bank.
