It'll do very well... I am really looking forward to this fight, I expect it to be much better than the first... Both have not only gotten into much better shape and take their careers far more seriously, but they've also improved a ton. I'm picking Fury by late knockout.
ye im quite surpeised by the negativity on this thread, its hardly ali v foreman we all know this but its the 2 best HW in the uk getting it on, Allso find it quite funny how touts are already selling on on sites for this when there still avalible for face value through official outlets haha #thicko`s
Just because you "stated" it does not mean it will happen, could you please explain to me your theory why it will be postponed to a venue with a 5000 capacity when it has sold more than 11.000 up to now ?
It hasn't sold that many, half the arena didn't go on sale and there loads of tickets on sale (doesn't necessarily mean that if there aren't tickets available that they're sold, see froch groves I)
I hope the rumour of Chisora nursing an injury is only that. I would have liked these 2 to go in different directions, then fight later on possibly, but its still a good one. Don't know how some say the first wasn't up to much. As heavyweights go,it was a good one for me,and these 2 can't fail to put on a good scrap, not to mention the shenanigans they'll get up to in the month or so leading up to it. Still very early. People will be waiting, plus I could see some of Furys traveller fans buying last minute. Chisora may well play on being a United fan, plus if the promoter uses his noodle and puts some local lads on this could sell tickets. Is young Heffron under his banner? No,I think this will be a success.
only half the venue went onsale initially. of what went onsale theres loads left in every block i think they intended to sell the whole thing because you can get upper and lower tiers. for last weeks fight the whole of the upper tier was closed for it. the tickets seem a bit pricey aswell. wouldnt surprise if it got postponed n they came back with a different venue and or price structure
I reckon they will end up doing a 2 for 1 offer on tickets here, I'm not sure if that helped a lot when Flintoff fought 18 months ago, David Haye at the o2 Arena also ended up doing a 2 for 1 offer. I guess they really need to get some local fighters on this bill to help it out a bit more.
The fight has not sold any more than 10% of the venue's capacity so far mainly because World Heavyweight Championship prices are being charged for a repeat of a domestic fight where the first fight was a stinker. Even the first tier blocks directly looking into the ring still have tickets available weeks after going on sale. The touts are not even interested in this fight as they know the public are not interested. atsch
Such massive interest in this fight worldwide that both might be better going to fight each other in Germany - the big advantage is that both can fly home in time to watch the main event on Boxnation.
