It's a fluid situation though, we're not talking about historically. We're talking about right now in March 2022. I would say, as of right now, Fury has a bigger profile than Joshua. That hasn't been the case up until now IMO.
The public are a fickle bunch. AJ was flavour of the month before but Fury certainly is now. He is a massive star now and is presently a bigger star than AJ. Whether his star is shining brighter than AJs was at the peak of his popularity, only the numbers will tell us this.
That's fair. If I was to guess I predict that will be amongst the top 5 best selling UK PPVs (I reckon 4th replacing Haye vs Bellew and just behind the AJ and Ruiz 2)
I'm not a tyson fanboy, but it's clear as day the tide has shifted to him over AJ. AJ was all image and benefitted from a massive media push. Most people are recognising he's a bit of weirdo now. Fury has natural swag and has proven himself by literally caving wilder's ****ing head twice.
Yeah will be interesting to see. BT aren't quite on Sky's level and this will probably be their biggest PPV ever.
yeah - I get disabled tickets and this so the first fight where I’ve not had a hope…line just busy all day. AJ - Usyk I got through in the end…
I can only imagine how smug Fury is right now. He will never ever shut up about this lol. I wasn't sure if it'd sell out or not, never in a million years thought it'd sell out in a few hours.
Ticket prices are mental. Paid $200 for Wilder-Fury 1 and $500 for Wilder-Fury 2. Had a good view for both fights. Now it's £500 for the back row at Wembley... I think the pent-up demand for a big boxing show is there. Lots of people spent time in lockdown saving up money. They are now splashing out.
Got no inclination to ever wanna go to these massive stadium fights, it’s not the footy I wanna see the fight close up or not at all. Each to there own though and if everyone was like me there’d be no ****er at anything
