You only watch highlights? Watch the full 12th round, Lopez threw like 3 proper shots and held and rushed backwards and grabbed to survive, that's why it was so dramatic. It was "can he grab for 3:00?" not "oh what a brawl". 10-8 round for Mtagwa. But hey, Gamboa might be next to taste Rogers' punches.

Anyway, the famous "So ****ing what" presser was removed from YT, but I guess you just "forgot about it".

No I dont just watch highlights. I actually ordered the PPV. Yes JuanMa did survive the round but he still tried to fight for some of it. He didnt run and hold for 3 minutes like you clearly said he didnt.

I'm sorry when someone says so ****in what I dont think they are quoting Larry Holmes.

People a bit more into boxing history recognize the words "Did I hurt your feelings back there, Sonny? Is your name Sonny? ... So. ****ing. What.", too bad you didn't get the insider joke what it's meant to be, but nobody's perfect. ... Why so serious?

It's amazing how a guy has a bad night and all of a sudden he's ****, but Gamboa who was getting bounced to the canvas on account of his sloppy defence is the best thing ever. Ever!

    Ridiculous.

  11. Well, I partially agree. Juan Ma has taken a downward spiral since the Gary Lockett fight IMO. He didn't look that great against Lontchi (sp?) and he looked pretty bad against Mtagwa. But, I do agree about Gamboa. I actually think Gamboa is going to struggle with Mtagwa just like Lopez did. Once Gamboa realizes he can't KO him I think his gameplan will start to faulter. I can actually see Gamboa tasting the canvas in this fight multiple times.

I don't know if it's just me, or has Juanma's speed really decreased, I mean I know he wasn't super fast, but he seemed to have slowed down just enough to tell.

  13. I would have to look at his earlier fights and his last couple of fights back-to-back to really be able to give any kind of analysis. I just think he's generally looked really sloppy in his last two fights and I think that's a testament to the guys he was fighting. They fought back and Juan Ma essentially didn't have any kind of backup plan. I mean, he looked really, really bad against Mtagwa in the later rounds. Not something you should see from such an elite prospect. I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if Luevano beat Lopez. And, I wouldn't be surprised if Mtagwa KO'd Gamboa.

Gamboa will ridicule Mtagwa even though that the African is tough as nails and comes to fight. Mtagwa is so easy to hit, and is always wide open for counterpunches and Gamboa will capitalize on that! Contrary to what someone here said that Gamboa does'nt have the power to KO Mtagwa, I think it's actually the opposite. Gamboa has one main thing that really sets him apart from every boxer in the game, " lighting speed " in both hands and his power is also A+! Even Lopez himself said that Gamboa is too fast for Mtagwa!

Mtagwa will get hit and will be KO'ed, as the punch that really does damage is the one that you don't see coming and Mr. Gamboa is surely the man for that job. Gamboa will TKO or KO Mtagwa in mid rounds similarly to what he did in his last fight against Garcia. :bart

Now, it's a matter of if Lopez can handle Luevano because if he can't, then the megafight with the Cuban will be over...Gamboa will definitely do his part, but can Lopez do his? :good

No problems there mate, Luevano is set to lose. If he had a different promoter, maybe things would be fair, but having the same promoter as the cash cow, there's no one to protect his interests. His part is to provide the title for the Lopez-Gamboa superfight, pretty much the same part Josh Clottey played before Cotto-Pacquaio. No surprise Luevano turned down Lopez originally and asked for a fat paycheck. He knows the only win he can get is a moral victory.
