Will Gatti make it into the HOF?

  1. this means ODH shouldn't get in either, as he lost ALL of his biggest fights.

It's the Hall of Fame not the Hall of Skill. It would be a gross mistake to omit him from the HOF.

He beat Trinidad I dont care what you or three idiot judges say. Comparing Oscar and Gatti is ludicrous. I could go into the Whitaker, Mosley and Quartey fights but whats the point? From that one sentence I can see you are biased against De la Hoya.

10 world titles in 6 different weightclasses I think it was.

    And he beat:

    Ike Quartey
    Pernell Whitaker
    Fernando Vargas
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Genaro Hernandez
    Oba Carr
    Ricardo Mayorga

Not to mention he could have gotten the nod against Trinidad and Mosley II if he had gotten a bit more luck with the judges. Sure he got favourable decisions himself, but when your fighting top level guys on a consistent basis there's going to be a slew of close bouts.

Gatti was a B/B- fighter on his best night, ODLH was at least A fighter on his best night.

Hoya did lose most of his biggest fights, but he did win a few really big ones. Hoya's biggest wins are rated higher than gatti's biggest wins, although gatti's biggest wins/fights were generally more exciting.

Good idea. Almost every one of his fights were nail biters.

yes he should be. Despite what people may say about his actual abilities, he was a super star and he was in two fight of the years back to back. I dont see how someone of his fame cannot be in the hall of fame unless you are talking about a side show act like butterbean.

pretty much it seems whether anyone thinks he deserves to get in or not, we all pretty can agree he is gonna get in.

He will be a great addition.

Imo i dont think the hof will catch as much flak as they did voting in some other fighters if gatti gets in.

he will make it but not on his first or second year of eligibility; probably on his nth try.
