Unlike some, I do believe ther hype behind Broner - in his first fight at 135 he steps up, schools and destroys one of the best Light weights in the world in DeMarco.

After that fight, I realised Broner was special

Some seriously low definitions of "special" in here. What about him getting out-boxed by Daniel Ponce De Leon - did that not make you consider that you'd perhaps made a mistake?

This will be like when Rhodes was supposed to give Alvarez a decent fight. He didn't and was eventually stopped after losing every round.

A one sided beat down is in order.Eddie should be arrested as a willing accomplice in this assault.Poor Rees.

the 80/1 is a myth, Broner might be 1/80 somewhere but no-one's going to lay you 80/1 on Rees. Stand out uk bookie price is Pinnacle & 25/1, they normally withdraw their stand out prices as the fight approaches so get on now if you think that's value. You might get close to 30/1 on betfair nearer the day but I'd be surprised if it went higher than that.

I think we'd all be having a few quid on if you really could get 80s

Gavin won't win a round. I don't think he makes it to the 6th round.

Since that fight he has looked great, though. I thought he lost to Ponce but clearly they have learned a lot from that fight and improved. Exactly what a young fighter should do.
I've said it before but I can't see him losing until he steps up to 147lbs.

Pretty much how I see it. I'm a sucker for an underdog but find it hard to see any way at all Gav wins this.

He's looked great because he's been beautifully matched. You notice that all of the guys have been straight-ahead guys with little lateral movement? Or chinny?

The guy's "improvement" is a mirage at the moment. He's eminently beatable.

He has improved though. If you were to shrink him to the size he was against Ponce and have that fight again, I think he'd outbox him comfortably.

He's not special, but he's becoming a damn good fighter. There's nobody I'd pick over him at lightweight right now.

We can **** on any fighters opposition. How many people on this site thought he would dominate DeMarco as easily as he did? I doubt many did. But after the fight DeMarco is **** and was lucky against Linares and got hammered by Valero. That will go on and on with whoever he faces.

i like rees however broner is already levels above him, broner will mark him up probably bust him up in early rounds i really cant see it going longer than the 5-6 mark

cant blame rees for taking the shot, but will be made to regret it and be on the end of a pretty bad beating

    hope im wrong though

The problem with fans is if a younger fighter faces nobodies and dominates them with ease he is called protected. If a fighter struggles or loses he is exposed. They can't win.

Who do people on this site think would beat Broner at 135lbs?
