He just tied Hopkins record for title defenses
    He’s in the history books
He just needs one more win
    Amateur standout
    Dominant professional
    Is he IHOF worthy?
    Is he first ballot?

I say yes he’s hall of famer
Not sure about first ballet depends on the class

yes but his record just doesn't hold up to me am a big fan but his gonna get in for title defences but not for opponents its sad really unless he fights danny again and dominate and box like he should have and he beat canelo but the draw doesn't help so as it stands his best opponents haven't been clear wins and he hasn't got the time to really improve his resume now

Yes he's HOF worthy. Of the the active boxers in their 30s, he's one of the most accomplished. Pacquiao and Chocolatito might be in the same class and get in ahead of him if they retire the same year, but I can't see him being locked out of the first ballot. Kovalev will likely go in behind him. Donaire will probably retire this year or next, and will be in a different year. It is possible Mayweather makes a comeback in a couple of years and resets his clock. Ward might too. They would get in ahead of GGG, but the likelihood of retiring the same year is somewhat low.

It's possible a Cotto or Wlad might make a comeback, which would change things a bit if they all stop fighting the same year as GGG.

But yeah, I would say first ballot.

What if GGG pulls a Wlad Klitchko and keeps dominating until his upper 30s??

I hope he can pull it off, just beat down on all the contenders while solidifying a great legacy so his haters can suck it

As of now he’s a first ballot guy. His 20 defenses is spotty considering the multiple sanctioning bodies and super belts but his KO percentage is gaudy and all time. However, his career isn’t over; if he loses his next fight somewhat convincingly that could hurt him. The reality is that long reigning, dominant champs usually don’t have great guys on their resumes; Wlad, RJJ, Hopkins, GGG, Joe Louis, Larry Holmes etc. They make up for it with consistency, dominance and the respect earned for always being in shape and beating the contenders. There’s a lot to be said for that. Floyd, Manny, Oscar etc have better names on the overall resumes but were never undisputed in the multiple weight classes.

Vitali is in the HOF. GGG's resume is way better and he has still a few years left. Furthermore he will break Hopkins record.

He has a good shot at entering. Without Canelo exposing him to the masses he probably doesn't.

Sad that the very best fighters often have politics get in the way of their greatness

Even sadder is when politics limits a fighter when he's just budding.
Pac, May BHop Roy JT etc...

None of them were held back early in their careers. None were froze out by their own promoter.

GGG was hidden in a closet to keep from exposing Sturm.

The saddest is that hater fans will hold it against him
