if GGG were AA or simply American, Geale, Monroe and Murray would never be called bums

I think Golovkin gets plenty of credit, he's seen as the number 1 middleweight in the world even by his critics and he has never even fought the top guy in the division, no fault there by him though.

This next fight doesn't prove anything at all, we all know Golovkin is very likely the best in the division. The problem is there are no real challenges at middleweight for him, almost everyone recognises his supremacy at this weight. The only fight at 160lbs that counts is the winner of Cotto/Canelo. As this will finally prove what most already know, Golovkin is the best in a weak division.

What his critics point out is that greatness will not likely be achieved at middleweight alone there just isn't the competition there at the moment. For Golovkin to really prove his greatness he will need to dip his toes in some deeper waters than the shallows at middleweight.

No he will not. He will not get respect until they see him lose. Even then he probably won't.
GGG should keep doing what he's doing. Keep trying to unify and break the record for most title defenses. Don't listen to the haters, because they will hate no matter what.

Anti-White racists never abandon their bigotry. Perhaps if he were to lose to a Black guy they would eventually soften towards him like they did with Jirov and Froch.

He gets more credit than he deserves considering his resume.

He's overrated by some and underrated by some. His accomplishments don't stack up to his talent yet, IMO.

I don't think the hate towards Golovkin has to do with his race or nationality, just my opinion.

Lee is possible, but probably only if he wins against BJS who said he won't fight Triple G, Quillin and Jacobs are with Haymon so count them out, Johnson is a possibility, and Cotto/Canelo(though if Cotto wins he'll likely vacate. Not many fights left at MW.

He is already considered the best 160 pounder in the world, and he has already beaten a handful of fighters better than the mediocre Lemieux. So I'm not really following the logic of this thread.

He already gets more credit he deserves, and beating Lemieux is pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Come on BE. This is like asking of SNV would finally get the credit he deserves if he beat me.
