Hopkins fought oscar at a catchweight, and Trinidad was foughting mostly LMW bouts at least. Oscar and Felix are much bigger than Brook. Bhop also gets most of his credit for what he did to Pascal, Pavlik, and Tarver. He probably wouldnt be that praised if he just retired with wins over Trinidad and Oscar.

Trinidad was the number 1 or number 2 p4p fighter in the world at the time he met Hopkins. He unified the 154 pound division and won the WBA 160 strap from long reinging WBA MW champion William Joppy.

At the time, Trinidad was the huge favorite while Hopkins was relatively unknown, only known for losing against a MW, one armed Roy Jones Jr.

Kell Brook is only known for having a close fight with Shawn Porter for the IBF belt, hasn't done anything at all since then. Can't really compare the two.
