the point is...u dont need to name drop degale to deflect criticism...imo doing just that brings on more criticism....because they never even discussed degale with hearn(think about what i just said here...u dont mention degale here and no one is even prob thinking about degale or a bigger guy here)

all he needs to say is "look eubank fell through...brook was easy to get a deal done with quick...we need to get it done quick...hes a big welterweight we feel and it wont be that much of a size difference...it would be like bringing someone up from 154"

instead of making it a positive...he throws a negative into the equation and makes u think "why isnt he fighting a bigger guy...why werent they looking at a 168 guy from the start"?

thats kind of the problem with loeffler...he drops alot of names and delivers garbage and a welterweight...after some time it cant just be coincidence and everyone elses fault

If Golovkin looks impressive I wouldn't he surprised if he fights over here again. He could be an attraction over here.

No doubt & if he wins and looks good the eubank fight will probably do better than it would have

Is this thread for real??? Carl Froch was not even on tv when he beat Jermain Taylor and was only on sky for the last few years of his career. The Brits will never pay to watch a non Brit. The only exception I can think was Tyson and the pac v mayweather fight. GGG is not known over here to the armchair fans. So no, it will never happen and at 33 he is to late, he is ppv in his next fight because he is fighting Kell, a Brit.

Because golovkins team are not in a position to be offering big money to fighters. They're in a tough position, he flopped on US PPV so now how does he get those big fights? He cannot pay his opponents big money so they only guys who will take it are guys who'v not got big paydays and are willing to take a risk. They took what they were offered for a few million pound. The alternative was probably to fight in america on basic HBO against another guy like a wade or a monroe jnr, a guy with nothing to lose.... the top guys just won't step in there with golovkin bcause they can make the same money taking an easy fight

Like i said earlier in this thread about crawford, theres no UK fight er for him to fight on UK PPV. Golovkin can do well on UK PPV but only against UK fighters.. I disagree though about golovkin not being known, people I speak to who aren't into boxing except for big fights always know him, they may not of seen him fight but they'v heard about him because of his continuous knockouts

ya...id tend to agree with you there

but like i was saying...dont u tend to think dropping degales name actually brings more attention to the fact hes fighting a welter instead of helping deflect criticism? did you see my point in my last post at all?

ggg is alienating some would be fans over the last year or so...and this fight isnt helping....to me shedding attention on 168 rather than trying to spin positives about brook just kinda adds some fuel to that amongst hardcore fans

to me loeffler is inexperienced in the limelight...and how to handle a guy like golovkin...and i honestly do think that hurts golovkin

I get your point, I just don't listen too much to what promoters/fighter are saying. They took the option that was offered to them because they aren't in a great position. I don't believe all the 'we offered this guy the fight he rejected, we offered this guy the fight he rejected' They've been very good in publicizing that certain fighters reject them but they don't into detail as to why. Like billy joe said.. why would he fight him for just under $2m when he can fight whoever he wants for a similar payday...
I'm not sure how golovkin will be able to get the big fights because he flopped on US PPV.. Is he a big star in Kazakhstan? If you aren't american you need to be followed by your country to do well on US PPV..

How about Amir Khan and Kell Brook

Khan vs Crawford would do better than Brook vs GGG easily

GGG is only known by hardcore fans the world over, TC is the same

Khan is A side against all of them

danny...to touch on what i was saying about loeffler i think being over his head here with a popular guy in the US.....and ive said this before

i think the way loeffler has moved gggs career has hurt gggs ability to get fights....

i honestly feel fighters and promoters are less willing because of what theyve seen from them....i think people saw what he did with ward...how he dismissed that fight when it could have at least been discussed(and prob made)....they hear him talking about names like degale and zurdo...even floated b hop before...they see a guy like lara talking about him(and k2 never picks up the phone to call and make an offer....and in fact theyve made comments about why they dont...telling him "get in line at 160...go beat some guys at 160 first")

and i think this stuff hurts him...i think oscar looks at him and says "why am i gonna put a jr mw ...my cashcow...in the ring with this guy when he wont make a move or take a challenge himself....most guys that got to the top had to make a sacrifice and take a leap....some guys have had to fight at catchweights to get a big fight and this guy is shutting down meeting canelo at 155 from the jump"???

i think the way loeffler has approached things has hurt ggg...and i dont know if this, despite being prob a success in the UK, is going to help him anymore.....in fact i think this brings more heat on him....a few people in the sport have even said "why isnt ggg fighting ward...he needs to fight ward".....

i just think the way loeffler has moved ggg hasnt helped him much...i think there may be a sentiment building against him in the sport

Because hes fighting brook u idiot .....and he said "we would have fought degale if he was offered"....but Degale wasn't offered and they didn't ask if he was available....

Go read the others defending loefflers comments ...theyre actually saying Degale ISNT interested....which is the complete opposite of what ur are saying ....u guys are never consistent

I dont think it would, trust me are you from the uk? Golovkin is a wayyyyyy more known over here than crawford. I have friends who don't watch much boxing but they all know who golovkin is, he gets quite alot of exposure over here on sky sports news and has fought a few brits. Crawfords fight with burns was very low key to be honest. Ggg v brook will do better than khan v crawford would in my opinion, khan isnt liked over here, he talks too much and gets knocked out often so hasnt really go a fanbase. What arum said about khan was spot on, he thinks hes way bigger than he is but he doesnt fill stadiums and he doesnt do good tv numbers..
